Recently, I traded the super duty for 2018 lci x5m and love it. I lost 24k on the super duty in one year and i bought it right side up. American cars are just shit. You can paint a turd but its still a piece of shit! |

If I lived in somewhere more rural or with bad winters I'd strongly consider a Raptor to daily |

This was my garage for a while, loved going back and forth between the two vehicles. Having a family of four these vehicles really fit the bill for me, I can see how a raptor would fit into this mix. As for me, I was happy with the Tacoma Pro and the M3.

Raptors for 70k ..ehhhh...for a truck that doesn't even have long travel suspension. You can go build your own for much less from a base model truck and it would be MUCH more capable desert racing and off road. Go look up any of the fab shops in SoCal. LSK suspension, CWF Off-road, dirt king fabrication etc
My dream is to have an M3/M4 to compliment this DD Here's mine |

I was set on getting a Raptor when my wife suggested I get an M3 again since I liked my 2011 E90 so much. They are appealing trucks. A couple buddies have them (one V8 version and one new 2018) and they are really nice. The 2018 is a lot better though imo.

It's like asking lobster or steak. Answer is, surf & turf.
Huge fan of fast small car and lifted truck garage combos.

It's a great truck, the interior rivals any high end SUV, stupendous room inside the cabin. Everyone who sat in her was blown away by its size and amenities. After a year of daily driving her, I just wanted something that was really fast and more sure footed. It's speed and power makes it feel sporty, but in the end it's a soft spongy truck which I got tired of driving fast. Luckily my buddy picked one up shortly after I got mine, so I can tow my bike to the track in his. lol I'll prob get a X5M to accompany the F80 instead of plopping out all that money again on another Raptor since you can't lease them.

I had a 2013 that I sold for an F80. I loved it, great truck that was super roomy and plush. Great being able to drive over or through literally anything. Only downside would be the short bed but they aren't meant to be used like a regular F150 to tow and haul.
I have had 2 F80s since the raptor and I think if I ever decided to move back into a truck as my daily it would be another raptor. OP have you driven one? |

I was in this exact position, coming out of my 435 lease I had my heart set on an M4.
It is pretty strange to cross shop the raptor vs sports cars, but I suppose i'm not the only one. Fast forward and I've been driving a 2018 raptor since October of last year. Couldn't be happier. It's my only vehicle and it's a dream to commute in. Quiet, luxurious, comfortable, spacious. I also utilize its truck capacities so not just a show toy. Mind you, i'm not racing this thing or climbing mountains. However, I take it off-road to the beach often during nicer weather, have had the bed filled dozens of times, even towed a broken down car. There's also something to be said for not having to worry about snowstorms here in the Northeast - now I just run everything over without issue. So, yea - no regrets. |

RAM 2500 Megagcab / BMW M4 comb that I had for a couple of years: The Megacab was great and really held its value well. I bought it new for $53K (sticker was $69K) and traded it in two years later for $46K. This is my current combo. Well, the Porsche people took my megacab. They are bad people. I'm making due with an old 12V cummins I picked up for my truck now.

took the plunge and loving it. no more fear of the spun crank hub... jk. but that was always in the back of my head and prevented me from really pushing it at times.

I did that EXACT thing. Went from an e92 M3 to a new 2016 Ford Raptor, thought it would be great given I live in the Great White North. Well..... turns out she is an underutilized pavement princess. Absolute dream in the winter, but I'm seriously contemplating going back to a BMW (M4) as the daily driver.
