I need to finish a trip of Angeles Crest one day... back and forth...
Wonder how long that will take

the road is still closed up to about 10 miles from wrightwood. once it opens (this month) its a pretty cool ride.
on the bike it takes us about 25 min to get up to newcombs ranch. |

The whole trip from my house (15 minutes w/o traffic from the La Canada end of the Crest) to the end of the 66 miles of awesomeness then take the freeway back to my house took me 3 hours. I went randomly without checking if the whole Angeles Crest was open and I was lucky enough that it was all open. Just be mindful of faster drivers/riders coming from behind and rocks on the road.

Ahhh, I kinda miss it up there.
My favorite part is when I had to drive through there for some work shit, and they'd be riding ass for a couple miles till I could get in the turn out, and then I'd see them standing by their car after it went over the side, or in a couple cases, flipped over miles down the road. I can't help but laugh.

awesome pics!
Getting low on that RR. I had one for about a year (got stolen), was never fully comfortable on it. Potentially too much bike for me. Great look car and bike

Awesome video, thanks for sharing! When I'm in cali, I'm usually up at Mulholland Hwy/Snake/Piuma all the time. I have a couple of youtube vids up with my old 335is and one with my dad's SL550 (that car is NOT fun on the twisties....)
Also, I watched without sound, but what was the deal with that Audi? Was it a TTS or TTRS? Seems like you were going A LOT faster once you passed him?

w/ a M3/M4 would you have to worry about gas? Or always have to full tank it?

EDIT: The crest itself was 66 miles of turns. I drove 15 miles from home to the base of the crest. So I spend (66+15)*2 for simple calculation = ~162 miles. |
