It could be me remembering how the ships delivered BMW cars.

If I recall correctly, those ships made multiple stops at different ports along the way and LA was one of them.

Saw a new Mach-E today, which are now officially more prevalent in NorCal than G8x:

They're pretty cool looking ... I'd never want to own one due to the needlessly complex engineering & weight (e.g, compared to the Tesla M3), but it's a great first try and hopefully Ford will get much better at BEVs.

I have seen one VW ID.4 and the new Mach-E around my area too but only one of each.

Those seats look cool but I never liked that color scheme no matter the exterior color. They definitely will not age well.

No less ugly than the G8x. Gloss black lower valances. Hideous wheels (but all EVs have those). And a hunchback instead of a prolapse like people say the G8x has.

Has your timeline changed either? Mine has been changing pretty often lol, mostly pushed back. I cannot imagine when the other 3 at the dealership will be if mine has been pushed back this far.

My S/A told me to expect my car in January though. He said the production schedule allows 3 weeks for a car to make it onto a vessel, but it usually only takes about a week.

I THINK you have to prove it on your Porsche id thing that you own the car after putting in the VIN.

At least I think that is how it works. I am too lazy to look.

No, once you have a commission number your SA can create track your dream for you as long as you hit V200. I got mine immediately in April after hitting V200 (order accepted by Porsche).
