congrats on the 650 GC. i have one as well and it's a great cruiser. however, it's a boat and not very fun to drive. can't wait for my M3 to get here already.

Very nice! I'm enjoying it, but it's no M3/M4 - I realized this going in. It's a sweet car! BTW, I'm surprised you didn't go M4 if you've got a GC already. Assuming you like aesthetics of M3 more (it's amazing how split ppl are on the appearance of the 2). I do like the M4 GC concept pics I've seen.

it's because of my son that i got the M3. besides, i couldn't resist the rear curves on the M3

I'm "stuck" with an X6 xDrive50 and 650i with M Packages. Perhaps I'm fully an M wannabe still! (Definitely first world problems!). Already deciding what to do with the X6 next summer, perhaps time for a proper sports car at that point!

BTW, the M4 I was supposed to receive is still not at dealer... They're making a software update supposedly even though it was released.

haha, we have/had the same cars, i had a 2009 X6 xDrive50 when it first came out as well. i really liked the X6 a lot. i'm thinking of getting the new X6 model when it comes out to replace the 650 GC

Interesting that these cars have just gotten off the line/ship but need a "software update" already. And held at port to do so. I guess dealerships don't know how to do this. Of course we all are pretty sure we know it is a BMW ploy not to get them to the dealer/consumer. Gotta have a launch extravaganza.

Did you by chance get the full leather interior? It was the full leather in a 6 GC I tested that made me decide to get it in the M3. Just looks amazing in the GC.

It does have the full leather interior, looks and feels incredible - even down to the door pockets. I love the Alcantara headliner as well, first vehicle I've owned with this and I love it.

I had ordered the M4 with Extended leather, after having full leather in the GC, I know I would have regretted that choice (but I'm sure I would have gotten over it quickly with each press of the accelerator!).

A coworker of mine drives a 650i gran coupe. While it doesn't really suit my needs, it is a beautiful car inside and out.

i agree with you i've driven my friend's 550 x drive a ton of times and just doesn't feel special. no sound! lol

When my 2011 E90 M3 arrived in port after my euro delivery, they did a software update and installed the USA nav maps at Port. Of course, they also killed the nav and some other stuff and the dealer had to replace a bunch of electronics when I got it.

I'm going to play devil's advocate against many respondents here.... if price is no object (as it apparently wasn't with the OP) and I'm not tracking my car, I'd take a loaded 650i Gran Coupe M Sport over the M4 each and every day. The 6-Series is a totally different class of car.
