We have ran 305/25/20 with Toyo T1R Tires. That's the widest we have done.

I think I'm going to run your setup but with 305/30/20 in the rear. Do you mind sharing what offset for a 11.5 wheel?

Sparta1, give Alex or David at TAG a call to discuss offsets. I ordered a set of 19" HRE 301Ms from Alex (hopefully they ship tomorrow Alex) Alex bent over backwards for me and took amazing care of me. I'd definitely recommend TAG to anyone!

Thanks buddy!

Cant wait to see your wheels on the car finally!

If anyone would like more details regarding widths and offsets for their application - i would be more than happy to help out. We have done so many fitments for the F80 & F82's that we have them down pretty good. It all varies on a few different things such as suspension, how low your car is, what tire you would like to go for

Feel free to call/email/PM me!

I hate the look of overly stretched tires, but understand a slight stretch and pretension the tire improves response and handling, that being said, would a 305/30/20 be a perfect fit for a 20x11 wheel or a 20x11.5 wheel.

I appreciate it! I'm still no where close to making my choose on wheels, I need another week or so to do my research, and narrow my choices, but when I do I will email you or david!

It will be a good fit however it is a bit too tall for the car.

The factory is a 275/35/19 is 26.58" tall
The 295/30/20 is 26.97" Tall
The 305/30/20 is 27.2" Tall

Your tire would be almost an 3/4" taller than OEM.

Here are images of the Pirelli 295/30/20 on the 11.5" HRE Wheel. Both cars running same size wheels and offsets!

I really want to run min 305 tire, I really want 325's, but everyone is talking me out of it.

If I go 305/30/20 I will be about 16mm taller then OEM.
If I go 305/25/20 I will be about 15mm shorter then OEM.
about 2.25%
If Im going to be spending $5-8000 on wheels(currently torn between HRE's and ADV1's) I would like the limited security of a little extra side wall.

My winter tires are currently 8mm taller then OEM. Is a 2% difference/15mm taller really that big of a deal?

This is my first car worth modding, and I really dont know.

The OEM rear wheels already have a quite tall side wall so even if you go with the shorter 305/25/20 it is pretty decent.

Side wall height and overall rolling diameter are critical to getting tire fit right. The F8x chassis cars are especially sensitive to poorly selected rolling diameters, and 20" diameter wheels lock you in to some very specific sizes to get the rolling diameters correct.

As with all M chassis, the first year or so folks will try and fit the largest diameter and widest possible wheel on the car. After a year or so people realize that huge rolling diameters and very wide rear tires with relatively narrow fronts do not benefit the car dynamically, and begin to opt for more functional solutions.

Having seen this trend since the E36 M3, we typically skip that initial process of "experimentation", and go straight for wheel and tire setups that are functionally sound.

Is it safe to say 295/30/19 works with 255/35/19 and 305/30/19 works with 265/35/19?

Again - this is all contingent on finding out what suspension you are running, and how low you intend to go. Going with a 305/30/20 is possible if you would like, its just taller, just would recommend going with the 265/30/20 on a 20x10 wheel. However with that, you cannot go very low on the KW HAS and some of the coilover setups. Springs it is more feasible.

Thats why knowing where you would like to sit is crucial

I live in Toronto, the roads are shit downtown lol. And I'm 30, just want to reduce wheel gap very slightly. A .5/.75 inch drop would be enough. I will be going with the KW HAS kit.

Then I would certainly go with a 20x10 and 20x11.5 setup. Go with the 265 front and 295/30 rear (if you are feeling courageous, you can do the 305/30).

Thanks! 19x9.5 ET19 19x11.5 ET44. Keep in mind these are not 20s so offsets may change slightly. If you need any other info contact Alex or David at TAG Motorsports. They helped me choose these offsets, since they have done a ton of these F8Xs.

Perfect offset! The front is poking out about 16mm over stock, and the rear about 15mm over stock, pretty much exactly what I want.

Ps those Michelin 305s look fat :-)
