There are different ways/parts of the DME readout that are obtained though. If you don't have the full 4MB readout you won't be able to activate BM3. Just contact PTF directly and see if the file you have will work, if it does, just purchase the BM3 directly from them. I would also report that dealer to PTF if it turns out that they were simply trying to rip you off.

I knew it was something fishy about their explaination. Thanks for the info, I will contact PTF directly soon.

me neither no tune. OT: Fixing ECUs is hardcore, requires special equipment (or very special skills) to remove SMT components, eeprom programming, and very expensive tools... and there isnt a DIY bcoz its uh very hardcore ;-)
