It's not nardo, it's Lime Rock Grey Metallic. It has a bit of gold in it under the sun.

LOL I was just there about 2 weeks ago. I don't think it's a bad hood... I have photos of the day I took delivery and the hood is fine. Something happened, either the hood or the bumper got bent/misaligned. Most likely the bumper.

Someone asked where exactly I put the washers.
First pop the hood and remove the weather stripping near the front bumper cover. It's a long black rubber piece. Then I unscrew the torx screws (T25 and T30 I believe) pictured. The washers go between the body colored bumper cover and mounting point of the car. You can see the silver washers under the grey bumper cover below. I used 5/16" washers to make it easy to line up the torx screw. Ps - I'm replacing them with black oxide coated washers to prevent corrosion sooner or later.

You think it has to do with all the opening and closing of the hood that causes it?

How do the washers underneath help fitment adjustability? More washers the more it closes the gap when looking straight ahead? Ive found that sliding the bumper more forward closes the straight ahead gap but too much and the gap between the bumper and hood gets bigger. Sliding the bumper inwards creates a larger straight ahead gap. |

The width is easily adjustable by loosening the torx screws and moving them forward or backward. The elevation can be changed with the bump stops and hood latches, but in this case the bumper cover was too low towards the left and right on the car. So if I raise the hood with the bump stop and latches to make the middle perfect, the corners would be too high. So I used the washers on the under the outer bumper cover torx screws to raise the bumper a few mm.

Update #2. Added a few more washers and adjusted the distance front and back and now it's 99.9% perfect!

If you like the looks, maybe just go with the aluminum version? I’m considering one for my 2015, but although I wrapped my car, underneath is mineral white. Hard color to color match.

I say do it! I’d get one but have a toddler and a newborn. The M3 is the closest thing to a family sports car I can get without moving to an SUV. My wife has an SUV already but I could never live without a sports car.

LOL looking to get a GT4 as well. I'm only hesitant because of the power and torque downgrade.

My philosophy when it comes to cars has changed in recent years. Especially as I have gotten to know more about cars. I am not as worried about HP and Torque numbers now or even pure straight line speed. Most cars in the M range would give you a speeding ticket in less than 5 seconds lol. I don't see the point in having faster 0 - 60 anymore, we cannot use it to its fullest anyway most of the time. Yeah I cannot do more mods on my M3 lol. Aside from not having room to store my original hood, the buyer would want to keep all the mods as I would try to sell it in "As In" condition. jpy1980 Since my Macan GTS is now a December delivery, I technically do not need my M3. I do not want to sell my M3 as it is rather personal of a car for me but I just cannot hold both a M3 and a 718 GT4 together, especially with how OCD I am I would never drive either of them unless forced to.

My M3 is pretty much my weekend and track toy, and that amount of torque is very fun in both auto-x and at the track. It helps make up some of my mistakes I can keep up and sometimes get faster laps than the GT4's (and GT3's) I have come across unless they were on stickier tires or were simply better drivers than me, so it's not so much that I would miss the 0-60, but that my lap times might go down, which I know my track buddies WILL give me shit for. (You got a new GT4 and you are SLOWER?!) Which makes me want to just get a Cayman S and use the $ saved for full suspension and brake upgrades.

They just don't like the fact that their beloved Porsche sounds like Subaru WRX. Which really isn't a bad thing since the WRX with some minor exhaust changes sounds pretty good. But... you know... 60k Porsche sounding like a 30k WRX is a no no apparently.
