Hi, can you please share the module/parameter to code this ? i couldn't find it anywhere. I have coded MMI off on door open (3020-> TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR), thanks.
That's the one I used. It turns off the radio and all electronics when you open the door (if start button was pressed to shut the engine off).

Now that No-Glare HBA is working as it should , here are my Top 10 (in order of preference):

1. Euro MDM
2. VLD + No-Glare HBA
3. Tail lights on with DRLs
4. No iDrive and cameras disclaimer
5. Shorter seatbelt reminder
6. Unlock doors at ignition shutoff
7. Separate Ambient Lighting and Instrument Cluster Lighting levels
8. Enhanced Bluetooth
9. Door handle lights on in Reverse
10. Shorter Comfort Access trunk opening delay

Number 7 is a must IMO with black leather interior, since the Ambient Lighting is otherwise barely visible.

Edit (8/16/15): I figured I might as well update my Top 10 to keep them current as I try additional features. So here is my updated list:

1. Euro MDM
2. VLD + No-Glare HBA
3. Updated M-HUD
4. Tail lights on with DRLs
5. No iDrive and cameras disclaimer
6. Shorter seatbelt reminder
7. Unlock doors at ignition shutoff
8. Separate Ambient Lighting and Instrument Cluster Lighting levels
9. Easy Entry
10. Enhanced Bluetooth

How does #7 function? Ambient lighting as in the dome lights? Or the subtle lights built into the doors? Are both set in iDrive then?

I've seen this function but never programmed it to test it out.

The key issue is the accent lighting built into the doors. On light-color leather (e.g., SS), this is clearly visible, but on black leather it is very subtle indeed. Once you decouple the two settings, the Ambient Lighting becomes brighter. You then adjust the brightness of the Instrument Cluster with the controller next to the light switch and the brightness of the Ambient Lighting in iDrive.

Either FDL code

REM > MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_L_OUTPUT = "sl_l"
REM > MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_R_OUTPUT = "sl_r"
REM > MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_L_OUTPUT = "sl_2_l"
REM > MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_R_OUTPUT = "sl_2_r"

or, if you prefer, add 8TL to VO and VO code REM.

Will try it. There is the separate ambient lighting level in iDrive stock under settings --> lighting in my car so have been adjusting it separately that way, but if this turns it up to 11 then will have to try.

Yeah, if you have Ambient Lighting maxed out in Settings > Lighting, you should definitely give this a try. You will probably want the setting in iDrive at less than maximum afterward.

Unlock doors at ignition shutoff

What is the code for this?

I set
3040 → CLM_UNLOCK_KL15OFF_AFTER_PIA_AUTO_LOCK set to: aktiv

and it doesnt work.

Not sure if turning off MMI with door is open interferes
3020 → TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR set to: aktiv

That is the code. It works (at least, on my car), but only if the doors were auto-locked.

The doors auto lock once I start driving. When I stop and turn off the car the doors auto unlock but the seat does not move. Might be because its a 6MT? might be hard to start car if seat is pushed back.

That one only unlocks the doors.

The one to have the seat move back should be SM > EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE (set to "Modus_FA" if you want only the driver's seat to adjust, "Modus_BF" if you want only the passenger's seat to adjust, or "Modus_FA_SLV" if you want both seats to adjust), but I have not tested it on my car.

Edit: I finally tested this. EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE needs to be set to "Modus_FA_SLV" or it is ineffective.

Ooops I totally got confused. But you did answer my question.

I was doing a lot of different coding yesterday. And both those items were not working correctly. But I was testing the auto unlock incorrectly. I was just sitting in the garage, turning the car on, locking the doors then turning the car off. You solved one of my issues. Thanks.

Now to figure out why the auto moving back of the seat does not work. I coded this also.

Ok was confused by the wording, thanks for confirming. I wish that we could switch off the engine and electronics from the Start button with one press.

Wouldn't that be nice! That double press is VERY annoying.

you mean the understeer button? i hate the throttle (over)sensitivity in sport-plus mode. throttle modulation is far better in efficient or sport.

I can't remember ever having understeer issues with mine.

Btw thanks guys for this list, I'm finally getting mine sorted this weekend and your lists have been good reminders.

I got this list off of here somewhere. Helped me decide what I want/don't want. At least it gives you most of the possible options.

I had mine done by Bim coding last weekend. I told him I don't need anything else done but the euro lights and mdm. Then the list kept getting longer and longer anyway, and now I don't need to handle the warning screen, my quick indicator is long enough for a lane change and tail lights blink when ever I use the middle pedal (okay, heavy braking).

He did more but I'm so cool I forgot them already.

There are a ton of F30 cheatsheets out there which will give you more coding options than you can shake a stick at.....but it's worth noting that not all F30 coding options will work in the F8x. Personally, for coding i've used a combo cheatsheet trifecta of F10/F30/F80 references.

Btw, Lups I coded a ton in my car as well and I think i've forgotten the bulk of them....lol. Some features I will never actually see work (like the Emergency Braking triple flash).

The one item that I initially coded and then changed back to default was setting the idrive to instantly power off when you open the door. It initially annoyed me that the car would just continue playing bluetooth music or whatever as I walked away until I locked the car. But after coding this to shut off, I found that I was more annoyed at not being able to continue listening to either music or sports talk radio while getting gas. So I went back in and re-coded this back to default.
