hi tom, i have a question:

2016 m4 coupe

i purchased the LCI taillights from you, installed them and had coding done, everything went fine - taillights worked fine, no alerts.

car had problems down the line (unrelated to taillights) and when bmw was fixing it they flashed my car and wiped out all the coding.

had the car recoded and now can't get it to take the coding option for the LCI lights with the inner lamps not working and getting the brake lamp failure alert...

suggestions?

thanks

Exactly what happens during coding? Is there a specific error message or screenshot?

i wasn't the person doing the coding, it was being remote coded. he coded correctly the 1st time but two subsequent tries on different days failed. 1st he thought it was an update issue and we waited for an upate on psdzdata. this second time he said it wouldn't take the command and thought the firmware had been updated.

Hi Tom, does replacing the headlights void any type of manufacturer/extended warranty? Please advise. Thank you

I doubt it, but this would be a question for your dealer.

Hey guys I've bought the black performance lights and installed them on my F80M3, but nothing works? I've done everything like described. I noticed that when I activate the turn signals my break light is flashing?! How do you guys get this lights working on your f30 or F80? Please hope somebody can help me... By the way I've coded the car and inner lights do also not work...

Soooo I F&**ed up... Cannot get trunk open - 2015 M4

So I was installing the LCI taillights on my '15 M4 and had pulled the white harness from the REM module.

The pins didnt line up exactly as per the instructions and I had left it dangling while I was researching it. (I will save this question for a later date)

A few friends popped by so I planned to leave for morning..... and I closed the trunk.

Little did I realize, the harness powered the trunk release. So i'm locked out of my trunk. Not from a power issue, but rather the connection is unplugged.

I see a few people with similar problems however have F80s... I haven't seen anything with the F82 as the rear seat configuration is slightly different.

I removed the side bolster of the rear seat and exposed the side bolts where the seats attach, however Im not sure if I can access the release from it. Dont have the right size Torx to remove the bolt and try until tomorrow.

Anyone else experience this level of idiocy and have some solutions?

Don't think there's much of a choice other than what's explained here: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7#post22040358

Hope it works out for you.

Thanks. Yes honestly, it was much much much easier than anticipated.

Pulled bottom seats out, side bolsters, unbolted side of rear seat and jammed a golf club through and into the rear folding seat release.

The whole process took probably 10 minutes.. PITA, but pretty simple.

Still a dumb design to be missing a keyhole.

I'm currently installing one of of your kits and there is a error is your wiring instructions. You note that the driver side is the orange wire and gray passenger. Which make sense since the orange is longer. But in the REM wiring, the orange is referred to as the passenger and gray drivers. Is the color location correct or the side designation? Also what are you using for coding software?

Longer wire would be for the driver's side. Most use e-sys for coding.

Did the install and have reverse lights flickering. Everything else works fine. Did we update this with the reverse light values that need to be changed for the F82 after HELC is added and REM coded? I guess what I'm asking is what else needs to be coded to get rid of the flickering or what did I miss? Seems like everything else is working fine.
