Speeding ticket in Loudoun county, VA

Got a speeding ticket for 20+ over, 67 in a 45 in Loudoun county. I want this shit dropped I've been a good boy for the past 2-3 years. It wasn't reckless but I want this dropped to something which won't show up on my insurance.

Anyone know any good lawyers?

OffTheRecord app wasn't able to find me a lawyer in Loudoun but does have lawyers in Fairfax county go figure... Always thought of fairfax as the worst county for speeding in Virginia.

Edit: I just pulled up my personal record from the DMV site... it's clean, +3 points, and the only thing on the is an expired registration from a couple years ago.

Call their county solicitor or court clerk and ask who they commonly see handling these locally. That should help get you "in".

Let me guess you got nailed on Loudoun County Parkway? They are really aggressive on that road but rightfully so people turn that road into the autobahn which it's not.

A clean record of only 2-3 years? I doubt you'll get everything dropped. You're probably looking at turning this into 9mph over and a lot of court fees and insurance going up regardless for 20+ over offense.

Just being honest. Be safe…

It was on 15N near the Leesburg bypass, had just gotten off the ramp to 15N. I saw the cop warnings on waze and was just going with traffic as its a single lane road..didn't realize how quick the car was going...I question if I was even going that fast. Will have to wait and see how he clocked me.

I just pulled up my personal record from the DMV site... it's clean, +3 points, and the only thing on the is an expired registration from a couple years ago.

Gotcha, that's also a cop trap so not surprised to hear that location either.

Good luck. Hire a good lawyer I guess is all I can say.

20+ over is a reckless in VA by statute. not sure what/if the cop told you otherwise.

it's serious, i would lawyer up. fines and poss jail time is on the table.

i would pre-emptively take a driver safety class before the court date and hire a traffic lawyer that knows the prosecutor or judge well.
