best shops for crank hub replacement near CT, NJ, NY, and best Crank Hub kit?

Not sure what you mean by best (e.g., workmanship, price, most done), but I would look into these three in no particular order:

Kies Motorsports
Autocouture
The Stance Shop

tuning works on long island did mine-they were great, I have been going to them since 2012. They're great!

Out of curiosity what is they going rate over there (East Coast) for the work + parts labor ?

+1 for Kies Motorsports. I drove down all the way from NH (6hrs) to have them do it. Took a weekend and was BY FAR the best price anywhere within a 6hlur drive. Book now since they're very busy.

JRS Performance handled mine. Doug is a master technician for BMW and has done a ton of these. I highly recommend him.

I could comfortably recommend my friends shop in Brooklyn, Import Autowerks. I can't imagine anyone has done more crank hubs than them. There's roughly 3-4 crankhub jobs being done there every week.

i went to kies also
dropped off friday and picked it up monday
they also upgraded my spark plug to NGK
