'16 M3- thoughts on pricing?
I've been shopping for a M3 for a bit now and have narrowed it down to the following needs/wants:
-CPO -DCT -AW, YMB, SO, AY exterior -At least extended black or SO interior -Adaptive M suspension (must) -Exec package (must) -Driver's assistance package (want) -Lighting package (want) -19" 437's (want) I've narrowed it down to two that I'm currently looking at: 1) $53k - 34k miles, CPO (12 mo/16k mi left on original warranty + 1yr CPO) YMB, black full marino leather, exec, driver's assist, lighting packages, adaptive suspension, 19" black 437's, power rear sunshade, $79.3k MSRP 2) $54k - 34k miles, CPO (20 mo/16k mi left on original warranty + 1yr CPO), AW, SO/black extended marino leather, exec, driver's assist, lighting packages, adaptive suspension, 19" black 437's, $75.4k MSRP Prices listed are before any negotiations. I initially preferred YMB, but after seeing and driving an Alpine White, I'm really liking the look of that color. They're pretty similarly optioned, both have good service records, however the 1st vehicle has two accidents reported on the Carfax. After speaking with the dealership, they noted the incidents were 1. someone backed into the rear bumper, this is being replaced, and 2. someone dinged the front driver's side door, this is being fixed. They noted both happened at low speeds in a parking lot and were strictly cosmetic. If I decide to go with this I'll negotiate final price with that in mind, however should I be concerned with resale down the road with two (at least prior to me potentially purchasing) incidents reported? Should these be a deal breaker for me? I've yet to check either in person, as the first one is about an hour away and currently being worked on in the body shop, and the second is 2+ hours away. I'd like to get as much negotiating done up front before deciding to make the trip to either. Thanks! |

I mean...those cars look exactly the same in terms of how they tick your boxes. It comes down to color and accident history.
I would take the car with no accident history. |

Looks like I may be getting into a '16 DCT, black sapphire metallic, black extended interior, with executive, driver's assist, and lighting packages, adaptive suspension, 19" black 437's, parking assist, with just under 20k miles for $55.5k.
