Even at 68.5k I think he'd have a hard time selling it right now TBH.

Lol here's the original sale thread. Did OP add anything to the car besides 2000 miles?

I am still on the fence on whether to sell or not, as many know I have only had the car 4 months or so. I originally wanted a fun 4 door car I could take my little son and wife in all together. At the time it was between this and a 911 and the M3 is obviously more practical. I do have my eyes on a 911 and that is why I even posted this, but still torn on the idea as I'm sure I would kick myself letting it go. I am sure it's not for everyone, but I see regular color competition packages being listed and selling in the low to mid 60's. Considering there are only a handful of LSB M3's even out there, like new with low miles, and the tasteful mods that were done to the car, I think the price is very fair. I'm willing to listen to any reasonable offers from a serious buyer. Again, most likely I will keep and enjoy because I really do love everything about this car, but if the right offer comes along I am willing to listen.

Okay that is a cool story and everything but I honestly doubt any member on here will purchase this car for your asking price once they realize you raised the price 5k on a car that was purchased from another member after putting more miles on it. Just honestly think about it. GLWS but I think you would have better chances through other venues.

Just starting the process at the same price the previous seller did. Like I said, not in a hurry to sell, and if someone wants to offer less, we can discuss details in private

Keep in mind people tend to haggle down from the asking price, so starting high might allow him to get to where he wants (which would be slightly less than what he got it for).

Say a car like this leases for ~800, him using it for 2 months = 1600 less = $66,900 or so (which I still think is high, considering I've seen lower mileage better condition ones for ~57 or less). If you factor in it being an individual color you could add 5k (MSRP) for a price of ~62 or so. Mods shouldn't add that much value but if you added them anyways it'd probably place it around 64 or so.

Come on man act like if OP got an offer for 72k he would say "no I only want 66."

He's trying to make money on a car he bought off a forum member 4 months ago with more miles. Plain and simple.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'd be annoyed if I was the previous seller and someone tried to flip a car I just sold (assuming I cared about who it went to, most people are like that here).

When I sold my last M3 I made sure it went to a good home that wasn't going to trash it.

A bunch of people are doing that with the CS's, asking for 5000 down so they basically get paid to drive a car like that around and then offload it for free/slight change in pocket.

I agree. Not worth running my credit to make a few grand.
