I uploaded a new file that is more complex and lists the codes to keep the ordering straight.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2t...it?usp=sharing I am calling it version 1.0 It needs work due to the many ordering configurations which are dependent on each-other and is definitely not perfect. If anyone has more Excel experience you are welcome to improve it. I will post the most updated file on the first page of this post. Cant wait for the BMWUSA configurator to go up, I like many other got tired of waiting. Glad to see so many people actually used it. Last edited by magas; 02-21-2014 at 07:55 AM.. |

I have took Megas sheet and made it more automated.
On the First tab(Build Sheet) any cell which is Green has a drop down list associated with it. By clicking on that green field, one can choose the option for that field. The items which you choose are Model(M3/M4), Option(Yes/No), Delivery Option(US/ED/Diplomat). If you select and option which requires or depends on another option(ZEC comes to mind) the calculator will automatically add that option to the price. Same goes for your leather options, if you choose extended and then select full, extended will be removed. If you add the full leather with the ZEC option, the price will be modified. You may find that when you select an option (Like Driver Assistance Package) which requires a dependent option(ZEC), it will add that options price to the build sheet but will not toggle that options yes/no indicator. It was designed to allow you to remove that package and automatically remove the package which it depended on. That way it reduces the amount of yes/no changing when selecting options. On the Second tab(Finanical Calculator) I also have added simple Calculators for both financing and leasing. Once again, on this tab, the orange cells are manual entries and the green cells will have a drop down list. I carry over values from the first tab for these calculations. Enjoy Spreadsheet: Updated 2/21/2014 5:00pm (fixed bug which did not reduce Rear shade from $500 to $350 if full leather option selected) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-r...it?usp=sharing

Thanks to you both, very useful!
One thought might be to add in individual color or interior options. I am on the fence about ditching surround-view and the led headlights for an individual color, though that only gets me part way there! |

Spread sheet update.
-Bug fix for the financial calculator: Hard coded the term instead of referencing the drop down. thanks bhap! -Added the new leasing rates to the sheet. (yes they only reflect 36month residuals) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-r...it?usp=sharing

Feel free to take the spread sheet and modify it to fit the 440. Pretty straight forward. Price on tab one ends up on second page. Only tricky part is the selection of one package may change another package price
