The spring rates are listed in units of lb/ft should be lb/in.

anyone knows the standard spring rates for KW Clubsport 2-Way pls? and does KW offer another spring rate option like 3-Way (which should be F: 628 lbs-in R: 1028 lbs-in according to what I found in this thread)? if yes will the optional spring rates reduce the max. drop in height?

thx

If you have two springs with different rates but the same length, the softer spring will compress more, thus giving you a lower static ride height. That being said, the out-of-box spring rates for the KW CS already allow a max drop of practically bottoming out. Basically, at max drop, a softer spring won't get you any lower without changing the suspension geometry because the shock is already completely compressed.

hi all,
have anyone considered putting CS springs (part no 31337857356 and 33537857312) on the regular m4 with coding dampers to CS as well (dampers are the same according to catalog)
what is the height change then?

There's a thread on the CS suspension differences and whether it could be easily retrofitted.

It seems the stock M3 dampers aren't the same as CS & ZCP dampers (which are the same). As such, forum members have said they don't respond well to CS coding. If you swapped out stock dampers for ZCP parts, coded them with the CS settings, put on the CS springs and roll bars, put the same wheels and tyres on, got the geometry setup the same...then you would be close to the CS setup.

Personally, I would go KW coil overs or similar which would be superior over a parts bin special with more adjustability to your preferences.

H&R VTF adj. sleeve kit values.

Hi everyone. Johnny from Sweden here. I run the H&R adjustable VTF-kit on my 2017 M4 comp pack. ( Variable Tieferlegung Federn) .
My dealer contacted H&R by my request to get the springrates so here they are:Rear is 253lb/in, or 105N/mm, 28% softer than stock comp pack.
Front is 39 lb/in, or 45 N/mm, 18% stiffer than stock comp pack.
I am very satisfyed with this kit and as the M4 is a bit tail happy and loose grip quite abruptly i feel that a bit slightly more built in understeer is not bad, especially on a tuned car.

Hello members,

Question...is there a lowering kit for the 2018 BMW M3CS?
I was looking on HRSprings website and they did not have a application available for the CS model.

Any suggestions or help pointing me in the correct decision?

Please don't get H&R springs on your CS.

For aftermarket springs and coilovers, there is no difference between the regular F80 M3 and F80 M3 CS. So any M3 kit will work. And any kit will be better than the H&R.

Only exception is the pre-2016 F80/F82 which uses a 3-bolt top hat, not the current 5-bolt. This is only applicable to camber plates.

Spacer with big hole goes between the spring cup and body. Spacer with little hole goes between spring cup and spring. Use both spacers, one spacer, or none, depending on your ride height preference.

Hey all, before Spring shows up again, I want to get the MP HAS kit on my f80. I know I saw a kit being sold for all the nuts and bolts as a kit. Can't recall if it was Turner or someone else. Does anyone remember who sells it?

Thanks!

On a stock ZCP car, do you need spring compressors up front or can you jack the rotor up and support the strut on the jack?

(is there any preloading on the springs or are they loose once the wheels are off the ground?)

Thanks

Hi! There is no preload when you pull the shock out so no spring compressors are needed and no remolval of the top mount is needed. Very simple.

What do you mean how? The post you're replying to is 6 years old. And at the moment, the Swift Spec-R lowering spring kit for the F8x is literally available to purchase everywhere. It's available on Amazon, ebay, and pretty much every automotive shop that you can think of.

Labor cost question. What is reasonable price to install Coilovers with remote canister and sway bars. Excluding alignment. Down the middle. Reasonable price? TIA.
