Do any of you use driving gloves?

I noticed BMW sells M driving gloves. Do any of you guys/gals use driving gloves? Seems like they would feel awkward while driving.

Don't need them...have heated steering wheel on my F80 when necessary.

Seems just a little pretentious...

I think they're intended for racing.

They aren't if you are actually using them for better grip in the steering wheel.

My hands get dry and makes for a slippery steering wheel at times. Not a great combo for car control of you are taking some corners

Valid point...maybe an alcantara surface steering wheel would help.

the worst part about wearing driving gloves, is telling your parents that you are gay.

I always got a chuckle out of the driving gloves in the BMW ads during street driving.

I don't get the steering wheel all greasy and they feel awesome when driving. Almost like when you get the new golf glove and put it on for the first time. yeah you know what I am talking about

We use driving gloves since we have the alcantara M Performance wheels on the E90 and F80.

It is also motivation for us to not eat chips in the car....

I use the M gloves. Keeps my steering wheel from getting oily. Which is the only reason I use them.

On long trips my hands get clammy and sweaty. I keep a microfiber towel handy. However on some recent trips I've been doing a lot of canyon driving and mountain passes. It's been making me consider getting a pair of nice gloves for that specific kind of driving. The whole sweaty-palms thing gets old after a while.
