What size of memory stick is everyone using or brand, I put in my 128 GB Sandisk from my Prius music system and the BMW media only picked up 4 songs? any recommendations?

Sorry man. I abandoned downloading and storing music after Spotify came out.
My previous usb stick was a 32gb fat32 patriot. Worked great for many years and still going strong. Just not for music. |

I have an extensive music library and I like having my own music handy vs streaming on one of the many pay services. |

What do you guys that are using a USB drive for music in the car do about playlists? Just got a 256gb Samsung today and realized we listen to playlists a lot in the car. With the iPod it was easy as we would use iTunes to manage and create playlists.
Edit: Figured it out. Had to purchase export to iTunes app on my Mac. |

Just to be clear. Every artist/band/playlist has their own folder. |

Sorry guys but the USB stick option sucks. So everything is organized correctly in the usb drive but when I plug it into my wife's X3 or my M4 there are 1,000s of missing songs. I've now started to research this issue and have found that people have had a ton of problems with artists not showing up, missing album art etc etc.....I guess it works ok if you have a small music library which I don't.
Not sure if I want to deal with reformatting blah blah blah. I might just upgrade our iPod Classics to a flash drive and see if that works. |

I love using USB for music as it allows for playback of FLAC files. As for playlists, I use VLC to create them in m3u format which idrive recognizes. Here's an older article, but everything regarding playlists is still relevant:
http://mybearbrick.blogspot.com/2017...drive.html?m=1 One thing I discovered about missing files in playlists, make sure that spaces in paths and file names are actual spaces " ", and not %20. I used the find and replace feature in Microsoft Word to make all the corrections and everything's showing up perfectly. |

Hi guys - new user here...
I have put about 20 regular albums (not compilations, mp3 varying bit rates and album jpeg) in folders onto a USB stick but the prof media system in the car won't display a few of them. I have Googled this issue and there seems to be a fair amount of topics on the subject (so it's a known issue) but seemingly no definitive solution. Can anyone help resolve this please? Anyone?
