Can I run PSS front and all season 4 back?
Hi guys! I l'm changing my rear tires now. I'm now have front and rear PSS. The front still have 6/32 and rear only have 4/32 now, I'm planning to change my rear tires. I saw the new Michelin All season 4 tires have really good reviews and my car is my daily driver.
Can anyone give me some advice if I can run front PSS and rear all season 4 or change all to all season 4? |

However, I wouldn't mix the two, go all 4 A/S or All 4 PSS. Personally I'd go all 4 PSS because all season tires offer trash performance in comparison to summer tires, and then buy a dedicated set of winter tires. |

I don't advise mixing summer and A/S.

If you haven’t had any problems w/ the front PSS with your weather it will be totally fine to replace just the rears. However make sure you get a good look at your front tires as the outside tread may look in good shape but the inner tread may be worn out, particularly if you’re lowered.

Shit, I ran an Auto-x event with Michelin all seasons in the front and PSS runflats in the rear.
I didn’t die or crash, just be aware the handling may be a little different at the edge.

I run AS3+ and personally I find them to hook very well in the cold. I haven't driven them in any snowy or icy conditions. However, I think buying a winter tire is inconvenient on warm days or if you decide to run the All Seasons through April/May for whatever reason. Buying an AS tire isn't for performance it's more for convenience and they do an adequate job in every category IMO.

Took m4 on continental extreme contact sport DWS06 out in 3-6 inches of snow on poorly plowed roads and had no issues. Really good tires unless it's 60+ degrees F than you want PSS/PS4S otherwise anything under 60 all seasons are way better. I'm in NY for reference so keep these on until May and put them on in October.
I'd stick to Michelin's as the all season 4's weren't available when . I was looking but all seasons are extrmeley useful |
