You would have to do homologation and certification, that's gonna be couple thousand euros. Plus EU likes to tax, tax, tax cars.

The cheapest GTS in Europe is 110K EUR. The cheapest GTS in the US is $75k USD = 61.5k EUR Import duty to EU is 10%, VAT is 19%-22%. Shipping is 1.5k EUR. Homologation / certification is ~3.5k EUR. Total cost = [((61.5K + 1.5K) * 1.1) * 1.20] + 3.5K = 86.66K EUR That's a 23.33K EUR (>20%) savings. Like I said, it begins to become worth the hassle when the savings/arbitrage opportunity is that significant. |

And it is not a fee that occurs in France or Germany, as they roll the CO2/engine size/power level based fees into annual registrations. It certainly is a hassle to do, but it is a cost savings. Even if you were to (inaccurately, IMO) factor in the Spanish first reg fees, a US GTS would still be cheaper. Just sell the CS and get in while they're still relatively low! |

Yeah... winter... 5 long quiet months... What's the point of having another one sit parked. I'll learn... eventually. Ha!

Maybe look into a GT3 Touring next year, the extra interaction of a manual and more road biased suspension might be what you need. With new ICE cars in several EU countries (and some US states) being banned in 9 years soon it’ll be time to buy and hold the stuff you really want to keep. Probably in the next few years many more countries and states will follow suit.

Friend linked me a GTS on Bring a Trailer. AW, 3600 miles, all the original parts included, but BaT being a finicky bitch.. licks finger and sticks in the air for a second I'm guessing $79k.

Won’t really go up much until the last day but I am guessing $85,000 + auction costs. All comparable examples for sale now are the high 80s to low 90s. |

BaT is often seen as the benchmark. So, if you have an account on the site, and you want to see it sell for a good price, you should go over there and talk the thing up a bit!
