yes. one of my neighbors has a similar driveway w/ less of a crown. although i think the reason it's as such is to prevent water from going down? if all else fails ill have to resort to that.... or keep using the race ramps lol.

no im not moving houses. or selling the car. or installing air suspension.

as I mentioned I currently get in/out fine w/ the race ramps. At the worst I'll keep using them, it's just annoying to put them down every time I drive this car. Each ramp is literally 5 lbs.

trying speed humps would just make it more convenient for me in the long run. like I said I could always have someone redo the driveway or buy a beater and park it on the street to daily and break out the m3 and ramps for weekends.

If you start grinding your sidewalk you're probably gonna have problems with your municipality. I would put some pavers on your grass and change the slope as required, then cut a 45 angle on those pavers right into your driveway and call 'er a day

So I got the speed hump - still scrapes a little, it needs to be wider for car to clear. See pic 1. Too bad, because it's ~50 lbs and stays planted and it's something I can leave out (as long as HOA doesn't bother me).

Pic 2 just shows the Race Ramps I'm using, used kids chalk and drew outlines to make placing them easier. Clears on left or right side of garage. Just annoying to have to bring them out each time I drive the car.

It's turned into a little project, I definitely can clear w/ a couple 2x8 or 2x10 stacked on top of each other, could make a wooden ramp w/o much difficulty, but thinking of ways to make it stay planted better.

Saw that thread, nice looking drive way. We'll see, I may eventually do it if/when I run out of ideas but currently can get in/out without scraping with the race ramps and I have another car so I don't need to drive the M3.

I have same issue with my driveway, fortunately it's gravel so I can manipulate it. I only seem to scrape driving forward. Have you tried reversing and angling? That's the only way I can make it out.

You could shim some concrete on top of the existing to make it more manageable. As others as said, you can not change the sidewalk as you don't even own it, the town or city does. It is also graded to ADA specs and if you change the slope it will make it illegal. Roughly 25 feet from centerline onto your probably is the towns.

I've tried going forward, backwards, sideways etc. Only way to get in/out w/o scraping the mid section of the exhaust is with race ramps.

You could try taking your new speed humps and placing them in the same orientation you have your race ramps. Said another way, rotate them 90 degrees from how you had them.

It might be a little tricky getting your tires on them without "falling" to one side or another. You'd also have the slight bump getting on them too. I'd practice this method first on a flatter surface to see how it works first.

It could be worth a shot since they're heavy and don't move rather than moving the race ramps every time.

EDIT: I'm guessing you only have one speed hump....so this was pretty much a useless post unless you buy another one.

you could make small indents in the driveway to hold the ramps in? that might look ugly tho not sure...

Check wheel/tire height to get some ground clearance.

Maybe if running some 666m wheels in a 35 series tire it might be taller than current setup. What size are your current tires?
