How I purchased my "New" M3 for Under $63,000

I wanted to share my experience on how I purchased my "New" M3 (Dream Car) for under $63,000 and how I was able to negotiate down to a 2.49% financing interest rate. Maybe this can help you or someone else you know save some money on purchasing a vehicle. I think its one of the under-rated selections of the car market that isn't talked a lot about.

Additionally, I explain on how I was able to get one of the CHEAPEST Extended Warranties for my M3. That warranty is through Geico's Mechanical Breakdown Insurance. Here's a thread of that topic :

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1495984

I was able to explain my experience in a video below. Hope this brings some value to you guys and if anyone has feedback or input, please chime in. This forum helped me literally save $10K back in October of 2018 from a DSC Failure on my F30. I stumbled on the above mentioned thread that made me remember about my Geico MBI insurance.

AWE Switchpath Non-Resonated Installation on my F80

After having the F80 for about 10 months, I was itching to address the unimpressive exhaust note. I've read many reviews from fellow F80M3Post members and watched countless YouTube videos. I narrowed down my options with AWE SwitchPath Non-Resonated Exhaust, AWE Resonated Track Exhaust and M-Performance Exhaust.

After hearing a few of them in person, I ultimately decided to go with the AWE Switchpath Non-Resonated Exhaust because of the valves capabilities, lack of drone and price/value. I'll post a separate post later on my personal opinions of the SwitchPath after I put some miles on it.

Here's a few photos of the F80 before the exhaust because any post could be better with photos :

I brought the F80 to Euromotive Performance in Hallandale Beach FL to do the exhaust install. This shop did my KW H.A.S Kit a few months back and did a great job. I'm sure other shops in the South Florida region would do a great job too but what persuade me was how clean/organized the shop was and how I was treated the 1st time. The staff here treated me like we've been friends for years. Kind of reminded me of a shop I used to go to up in NYC when I lived there (PetrolWerks).

The shop ordered the exhaust and within 2 days it was in. I was expecting at least a few more days but I ain't complaining .

Great packaging by AWE :

Here's some photos of the install :

Quick view of the values :

I also filmed a video of the process of the install and some exhaust clips. I filmed this videos cause its fun and like many others like to share our experiences. I hope you all enjoy this post and the video :

Great write up! Makes me feel like I should have drove 2 states away to pickup that nardo grey F80 but I'll settle for the YAS. How do you like the AWE ? Debating on that or the Mperformance?

It was definitely worth it! The AWE is great and really see why its highly recommended. I like the option on utilizing the valves and there is no drone.

I only pay $51.40 a YEAR for an Extended Warranty

Extended warranties, a long debated topic on the forums. I put together this video and explained how I managed to get an extended warranty for ONLY $51.40 a YEAR. This isn't click bait either, I literally pay $51.40 a year.

Whether you plan on leasing your next car or plan on purchasing your next car, you'll be asked by the finance manager at the dealership about extended warranties.

I personally plan on keeping my 2018 Austin Yellow M3 for a LONG time. So I added GEICO's MBI Coverage (Mechanical Breakdown Insurance). This added protection is going to cover all mechanical problems for 7 years and up to 100,000 miles.

Watch the video to see how exactly it works and why it's a great option.

Hopefully this video will save some of you guys some money in the future.

I actually went though a claim with Geico and can verify that it did cover a large repair of almost $10,000 on my F30.

Before getting my F80, I had a F30 335 X-Drive, 6-Speed manual with M-Sport package.

Long story short, I had a DSC failure on my F30 which caused the rear brakes to seize up while I was driving on a major highway. As you can see in the pictures below it caused my M-Sport calipers to turn black from the heat, melted my center caps, melted the wheel weights, damaged my brake lines, melted the brake pads and warped the rotors.

In this picture you can see the rotors glowing. This was after I was able to merge onto the shoulder of the highway.

Geico sent out a representative and confirmed it was mechanical issue and wasn't due to wear/tear. I paid the $250 deductible and they coverage the rest.

XPEL Prime XR PLUS Tint Installation

Over the weekend, I ended up hiring Martin From Alligator Window Tint who was featured on Obsessed Garage tinting Matt's various cars. Once I saw those episodes, I knew he would be the one to fix my window tint horrors.

I filmed the installation and wanted to share with this community. I purely film these videos as a journal for my car modifications and for fun.

I was thankful enough that Martin allowed me to slow him down while I filmed the install. Martin did a excellent job especially in my father's one car garage.

Part 1 (In this video, I explain why I choose Martin and why I am getting my window redone)

Part 2 (Window Tint Installation)

I am open for constructive criticism.

Just saw the obsessed garage video where he did the F10 M5. That man knows his tints. How do you like the 70% compared to the 50%?

M-Performance Front Lip and Carbon Splitters

Its been a little while since I've updated my Journal.

As my "Mod bug" continued, I personally believed that the front end needed some attention. I saw various different types of front lips and ultimately decided on the M-Performance front lip. I have friends that have gone through many, many carbon fiber lips.

What I was looking for was, durability and the M-Performance front lip looks aggressive paired up with the carbon fiber splitters.

I ended up documenting the front lip install at Euromotive Performance. I honestly like making content and not here to be the next OG or TLG. Just enjoy film making.

Paint Matched Calipers

A few months ago, I had the idea of getting my calipers repainted after seeing a fellow forum member's F80 at Cars and Coffee. He had his YAS Marina Blue F80's calipers repainted in Pearl Yellow. Don't get me wrong, the OEM brakes are beautiful but I just wanted a slight change.

I had the idea of having my OEM Brake Calipers paint matched to Austin Yellow. I pitched the idea over to the guys at Euromotive Performance of having the brakes done. They were just as excited as I was since we've never seen a paint matched Austin Yellow caliper.

Below are some photos before the painted match calipers.

There are many ways to paint calipers but I wanted this to last. The staff at Euromotive Performance followed Brembo's OEM specifications on the paint process. There's far cheaper ways on changing you brake caliper's color such as using a small paint brush to paint them on or taping up the wheel well and spraying them on the car.

The OEM calipers were sanded down, primed, and painted with Standox paint (OEM Paint) which included Standox clear coat. I had the idea of having the "M" logo in black instead of the OEM silver since it stands out more (High Temperature Stickers). The silver would have blended in with the calipers. As you can see this process needed the shop to take apart the calipers to ensure it was painted correctly and not in the areas where its not needed.

After they placed one of the wheels on the car, I was in awe

I also had the guys at Euromotive Performance paint match my front reflectors. I tried to capture a decent amount of shots from different lighting and angles. As you know BMW paint changes in these various aspects. But let me know what you guys think. I know Austin Yellow is a hit or miss with people, but I love it.

I ended up filming my experience and thought process of having the calipers paint matched below.

Z-Performance Wheels ZP.09 Matte Grey

Shortly after my getting my calipers paint matched, I decided I was going to hold off on the modifications. We all know how that works out.

I ended up going to Super Cars Saturday (January 2020) here in South Florida and hung around the event. After checking the event out, a few friends and I went to have lunch at a local spot. We ended up meeting Zed Sly the CEO of Z-Performance Wheels. It's a wheel brand predominately in Europe so I wasn't familiar.

What was shocking was, Zed said he wanted his company's wheels on our cars. Well after a month later, it happened. I ended up getting Model : ZP.09 in Matte Grey. This specific wheel had an aggressive offset that sat flush to the fender. I believe there is only less than 15 sets Z-Performance Wheels in the United States. I know Zed was saying he wanted to expand his line in the United States in the Future.

I brought my car to Euromotive Performance to get the wheels installed. I decided to pair the wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Coming from the stock Continental ContiSportContact 5p, these tires are amazing. Night and day difference with the amount of grip. I feel more confident and further more in the rain.

I like making videos about my build and ended up documenting it in a video below:

If you're interested on seeing the video where we met Zed:

Some pictures taken from that "Super Car Saturday"
