Pulled up next to an E46. Thought he was my brother, but kid needed to impress his girlfriend. Let him have the win; especially as I'm in break-in mode. Why fight between siblings?

I've owned this car for a little over 4 months and I've had at least 10 people try to race me. This thing attracts the most attention from other guys with always the same type of cars , Civic SI, GTI's , 370Z etc. I just let them take off and continue cruising at normal speed

I've had people mess around with me, but not really a full race. I think maybe a half dozen times in over a year of ownership for me. Never happens.

This is why I went MT. Even a Camry could beat me off the line if he really wanted to. I'm sure it makes the soccer dads in the neighborhood proud when they take a M3 off the line. I try to do my civic duty.

M4s usually try to show off had 2 off them try to race me .. They were stock didn't go well for them ..

About 60 other people yesterday. I did an AutoX. Which, is the best way to race somebody else if you really want to. Then you can really find out if you are the shit or not. Most likely not.

Not specifically an AutoX, but some version of an organized event not on public roads. Anyboby can mash a gas pedal from a light or a roll that it really proves nothing. Well it proves something, but I'll refrain from getting too preachy.

Had my car about 3 weeks now and I've never seen so many people try to race a car so much. Even ford escape wants to race. Maxima, 535, wow this car attracts people who love to race. Anyways I let them win. I'm in break in.

You are a man after my own heart. I have nothing to prove and neither does the car. I know what the various vehicles will do. My car is faster than a Prius and slower than a MacLaren. I bought it for those wide open roads when no one is around.

Rarely, though I like the idea that our cars look so "bad ass" on the street enough so to make others feel insecure and thus the need to show off in front of us, trying to make themselves feel better about their choices, but mostly ultimately falling short, if I chose to force the point. Sometimes just can't help myself!

You could outrun the E46 in break in short shifting at 5000. Hell I pulled my friends ISF in my 15 shifting at 5k.

Local cop a couple of nights ago ( came on a house call near my place once, said if he ever saw me on the street he would give me a hall pass to go at it with him in his ISF).
