The amount of people that try to race me or catch up to me is ridiculous. A lot of 4series and 3series and anything Japanese with an exhaust I seem to piss off. I sometimes think people don't understand what the hell we're driving and I find it hilarious. The 4series guys I think are just pissed they don't have an M. The other dudes are just out of pure idiotic tendencies and I feel jealously. But as soon as they hear my beast start to spool and burble a little I get a thumbs and they relax.

Amazing place NYC people love to race and love to hate also be careful out there my friends.

I drove my q50 the other day and it was so relaxing. Nobody looking and nobody up my ass in the slow lane.

I must admit I failed yesterday I should have just let him past but he annoyed me (sat a few feet from my bumper flashing his lights to come past despite the traffic right in front of me) as the traffic cleared ahead I gunned it, I never knew how quickly the car would get up to its limiter.

I can't do that again though as that speed could see me detained at her majesties pleasure for a few weeks.

I have no idea what the Mercedes salesman are telling their C-class customers but they need to stop telling porkies.

Lol same. I don't know but I think we're in a weird segment power-wise. The racey kids all have 350z/370z, STi, EVO, *maybe* 335i's and figuring most are probably closer to stock than not, most of them know that an M3/4 will eat them. Most Mustang GT 5.0s and Camaro SSs' around me are piloted by older guys who just mind their own business. Occasionally I get the peppy guy in a ZL1/Z06 that would eat me that usually just do the ole fly-by. No skin off my back, saving ME the embarrassment.

On the flip side, a current (6th) gen eco-boost mustang with a muffler delete and clearly a tune and intake was revving next to me.. right as the two-lane was merging to one, with another car directly in front of me. Dunno what he was expecting of me...

I have gone against a GTR from a dig its almost impossible to get away from them with their AWD off the line.

Although from a roll I have taken them, the M3/M4 is a monster from a roll.

No one has ever tried to race my M4. But many have tried to race the Z06 and all have failed. M6 got absolutely dusted, Camaro convertible (not sure of model) got left for dead. 2017 M4 convertible got walked and the guy just took the next exit. GsxR 750 came the closest.

Bonus: A newer mustang GT tried a pull but his rear end kept getting loose, good thing there were no crowds around

Two V8 (i assume R/T) challengers were messing with eachother on a traffic lighted 5 lane highway the other day. I was not paying attention as i was in my X5M.

Said, eh fuck it on the next light as we were all lined up to eachother. i gunned it. These guys were distracted by themselves and didn't expect me to participate.

Well i embarassed them, the next light, the guy didnt pull up to the line next to me.

Not today. It happened last weekend. I was around Delaware water gap area and a bunch of Suba-roos wanted to race with me. One of them wagered $200 bucks that he could beat the M and was edging me to race with him.

I've only had 3 encounters over the entire year.

G37 that was being a douche on a double lane onramp. Wouldn't let me pass him. My sister-in-law insisted I "not let him beat me."

C6 vette - pretty much dead even. I'm stock, so I kind of expected it.

GT350R - They really have very little torque so I got a good lead on him at first but he pulled up on me after that initial jump. We stopped playing around and just gave each other a thumbs up. Again, I'm stock.

Peak torque on a GT350 is higher than an M3. From any sort of a roll, it should be quite a bit faster.

Peak torque is irrelevant without gearing. It's all about power area under the curve. On average, a DCT M3 will be slightly faster than a GT350 and 6MT M3 will be slightly slower. The F8X and GT350 are pretty closely matched in terms of acceleration. A GT350R will be faster due to lighter weight and gearing advantage of the smaller diameter tires, but not by much.
