Mat seemed to have trouble putting the power down in the F80, managing a 11.7 1/4 mile time as his best run. It makes you think how much a 2nd gear launch could help like we’ve seen in the RWD G80 The F80 does have a built motor and a single turbo swap. One would assume the transmission is built as well. It does sound incredible in the rev battle! What do you think?

Considering how much spinning I can get at stock CS levels, doubling the HP really doesn’t sound like a lot of fun. Getting more power out of this car is basically the last thing on my mind.

Above a certain power level, it's just useless. Have to go to drag radials or super grippy street tires. Then you can't drive in the rain, etc. Full of compromises. The car is plenty fun stock. Just tough when so many cars can hit low 11 or high 10s with minimal mods now.

NickyC A boost by gear setup would’ve been perfect here.
Stock power levels for 1st & 2nd would be just fine, considering they’re going off of a launch and not a 2nd gear roll.

Carwow has had a few different high hp tuned M3's on their channel and they've never put down great times. It's always so hard for them to get a good launch with the high low end torque. Really surprised none of them changed their boost % by gear.
In comparison, all of the G80 M3's on their channel have done amazingly. The AWD helps SO much on drag races. They even compared a Stage 1 G80 vs stock and some other cars and that thing rips.
