Seriously! Some of the harshest critics happen to be E9x M3 owners lol! Just wait to drive the damn thing instead of complaining about a hood line. The Z4M had the same sort of hood line, and it still looked good imo. All depends on the color you get the car.

Every time I read a comment that's bitching about the hoodline, or complaining about the engine (when the specs and drive reviews aren't even out), I look to the side bar, to always see, "Drives: 13 e92 M3"
The buyers remorse is insane from the M3 owners. They complain about these small details and then try to say "Nah man no buyers remorse!!!" Seriously. Stop bitching about the hood line. Your car now looks out dated. Still nice, but out dated. And that's the view of the majority of the bimmerpost community. |

Price
Of course not - this is still a concept. Assuming the reveal of the production model is in January I would expect that around then. Current model base was $61,100. I'm expecting them to use the "4" designation to take the coupe upmarket a bit, but not too much, so base might be ~$65k. Just my guess.

not everyone has to like the styling of every car, and I can count numerous examples of cars that initially I didn't love, but grew on me over time. the e9x m3 is a great example, and now I really do like the styling. for me personally, this car will be defined once the performance specs are released, and I get to see one in the flesh. I hated the 328i I drove for the cheaper interior relative to the e9x and the bad steering feel and handling. I hold m cars to a higher standard, so it will be very interesting to see how the final product comes out. I like the styling, don't love it. each generation since the e46 has had less defined fender flares, which has continued onto this car. it is wide, but basically doesn't have flared fenders. so to me, the styling doesn't appear to be exactly what I am looking for, but it does look good. I am anxious for more info like everyone else. I will say the thing I am by far the most concerned about with this car is the price. I believe it will be difficult to get one for under 80k on dealer lots. with decent options, the car will be in the 80s very easily. I hope I am wrong on this. I would be a potential buyer for the m3 sedan in future years if it hits all the points I am looking for. I am rooting for BMW like almost all M3 owners, despite your conspiracy theories to the contrary |

And while we're talking about future occasions of seeing the Concept M4 or lack thereof, we learned that it will NOT be at Frankfurt Motor Show. Best regards, south

"This M4 will be the best M4 ever!" I had a good laugh at that.

What a relief! I'm sure you can find someone in Dubai or Qatar to make you an Aurum Dust car. In fact, there are probably a couple dozen of them already on the streets of Paris and London as we speak. I think the Aurum Dust choice of color was great for the presentation, and made a nice splash. But maybe a bit much for production. |

There is nothing about a straight edge that gives any insight whatsoever into the material used. With the shape it could equally be steel, aluminum or carbon fiber. My bet is that it will be aluminum just like the current M3.

I'm not enamored with the styling of the M4 either, especially the very busy front and rear bumpers and hood cut line, but I am sure it will grow on me just as the E9x has over the years. Driving personality and performance will be the ultimate factors into how well received this car is. Bring on the F80 M3!
