If you're only replacing the portion that the Borla piece covers (down-pipes to secondary cats), your stock mid-pipe portion between the axel and secondary cats still has a resonator.

Can't comment on how much more raspiness it is without the secondary cats and only a resonator because the folks who went this route haven't posted any videos or sound clips.

That is actually quite helpful, I always thought the Borla seemed shorter than the remus and AA midpipes...I'm really leaning towards getting the borla in that case, at least i know i'm only replacing 2 cats and not the resonator in the middle

A pipe may work also, but a prybar was nice because the bend allows you to get every bit of the cat pretty easily. Wear a breathing apparatus also. You don't want to breathe that crap in.

So I have this set up and get a horible deep rasp just under 2k under heavy load then it goes after 2k dose yours do this
