Removel Rear Axle from Diff
I know this might be a long shot but currently replacing the rear differential mounting bushings on my F82 M4. I have the subframe out of the car with the rear diff and my passenger side axle seal is leaking. I was curious if anyone has any tips or instructions on how to remove the axels in order to replace these seals.

Thank you for the tip. I appreciate it. I’m going to give that a try either tonight or tomorrow. I’m waiting for all of the parts to come in to be able to reseal it.

I actually plan to do the same thing. BMW has a tools to do this.
There are aftermarket versions of these tools. Careful use of a pry bar would also work. Let me know how it goes. I also plan to replace my axle seals. |

However, I also found this service bulletin from BMW on the replacement of the rear diff on certain M cars due to a recall. This is the document we need to find since even BMW says do not ISTA but rather use this document: View PDF attachment REP 33 10 017 R&R Diff F8x Updated 8-25. |
