Removel Rear Axle from Diff

I know this might be a long shot but currently replacing the rear differential mounting bushings on my F82 M4. I have the subframe out of the car with the rear diff and my passenger side axle seal is leaking. I was curious if anyone has any tips or instructions on how to remove the axels in order to replace these seals.

I mean there’s nothing to it. You never pulled a axle out of a diff before

Obviously I haven’t if I’m asking here. You don’t have to be a dick about it.

Sorry if I came off like that. Just grab a long strap down belt put it at the closest point of the axle to the diff and just snug it out.

Thank you for the tip. I appreciate it. I’m going to give that a try either tonight or tomorrow. I’m waiting for all of the parts to come in to be able to reseal it.

I’m assuming your going to also to open the diff to change the seals just use gasket maker for no diff oil leaks

I actually plan to do the same thing. BMW has a tools to do this.
There are aftermarket versions of these tools. Careful use of a pry bar would also work.

Let me know how it goes. I also plan to replace my axle seals.

I found that document as well but it is for an F01 chassis car.

However, I also found this service bulletin from BMW on the replacement of the rear diff on certain M cars due to a recall. This is the document we need to find since even BMW says do not ISTA but rather use this document: View PDF attachment REP 33 10 017 R&R Diff F8x Updated 8-25.
