I agree 100%. In fact, it looked like some of the black versions on the test cars were 19's indeed.

I wonder if 19s will be the "smaller" wheel to track on now. Havent seem the car in person but maybe 20s wont look out of place on this bigger car.

Guess i can reference fpost first.

M4 prices

Hmm, base price for M4 with MT in Belgium is 78k EUR. I made my specification through their configurator (with some extras, but not fully loaded) and I ended up slightly above 90k EUR (including VAT). Uhh, quite a lot.

Yeah! Take a look at 20's on the normal F-Series. The car has grown, and the 18" and 19" wheels just look undersized. 20" wheels are where it's at for this car, at least aesthetically.

Is there nothing on this car the same as what was being shown in cinemas and on TV for months before the final reveal of the 4 series? I liked the alloys on whatever this car was meant to be:

The 18" wheels are too small given the increased size of the car...looks disproportionate.

Tire prices won't change though, so I'd personally still be looking at 18 inch wheels.

If we're talking someone who only does a few events (less than 6 is probably a decent number to start with) a year though, it really doesn't matter. You could just stay with a staggered setup at 19s, and probably still be better off financially than if you spent the money on a dedicated square setup.

It is good to know that 18s will fit (at least with standard brakes).

I have a couple sets of wheels here, including some 18s from my 335. I may now keep them around to use with winter tires.

Looking at the Canadian pricing guide, I am disappointed to see that 19s are no charge.

Same here! I always thought the 18's were a much better looking wheel.

1 - These are bad renders, I think the final product will be improved.
2 - Utterly offensive that BMW feels that 18 inch wheels should be standard on a $64k+ premium sports sedan. They don't even fit the wheel wells!

BMW looks up to Porsche quite a lot. Seems they're learning how to nickle-and-dime their customers just like the masters in Stuttgart.

Not yet. The reason I refuse to buy a Porsche is that there is literally nothing standard in their vehicles.

BMW is offering more standard features with this M3 than the previous one.

I know right??! This is the first time in the history of the more recent ///M cars that I've preferred the 18" to the 19". Hell must have frozen over.
