The cookie butter contemporary window line on the 4/8er coupe is just beyond comprehension.

Wow ok, those are some impressive fender lines for a standard G42! Sounds like both vehicles will be very impressive in their own right!

Now if they can just keep the weight down, i dont care about power - i just dont want it to be fat!

My shortlist for a "Drivers Car" once this is released:
- G87 M2
- Lotus Emira (If I can option it at a decent price point)
- Nissan Z (if they also can keep the weight down and driving dynamics on point, could be a nice budget buy)
- Supra, if a manual is ever released - theres still hope with this fabled High performance GR edition to come

F87 was split about 50/50 in the U.S. I'd be surprised if it was higher than that.

Anyone can grasp when regular series2 (G42) will be presented?

In theory I read SoP will be July? So feels strange we are in May and it is not yet been presented.

Do you think M2 will bee also showcased even though it will take more time to go for sale?

The M2 was always available in paint colours that came from Leipzig in other various cars made at the plant.

Now these will be made in Mexico there might be a little bit more of a wider range?

You insiders choose interesting words to describe how the G87 looks. I'll take that as a good sign
Hopefully the G42 isn't all bruce banner...

Sometime later in May or (maybe more likely) in June. I guess they will reveal the iNext and maybe the i4 earlier.

It seems to be August, so I guess we will have to wait a bit longer.

Very unlikely, given the M2 will only start production in late 2022.

Agreed - they already offer M5 seats in the rest of the 5 series range and the same with the X3M seats in the 3 series as M Sport seats

I'm a fan of the blue, plus it's my wife's favorite color and so maybe she'd be less grouchy with me if I got a new car that was blue?

I think the gray and some others are great colors, but it seems like every newer car on the planet right now is gray. It'd be fun to be different. I'm not ready for yellow, but I could do blue.

I empathize, "happy wife, happy life"; which makes blue your favorite color too.

I also have noticed gray being the color of choice recently, but that will change shortly which will be different. With respect to yellow, it only looks good on my 1980 Vette, with side pipes.

Reposting these G87 M2 updates in this thread.

Individual colors will be available on 2-Series and M2. 1-Series can be ordered with individual colors from September onwards. After three years of hearing it is coming, it is finally there. Production for Europe will be at Leipzig, and US markets will be in Mexico. They will divide it between those two factories.

Also G87 will have a head-up display for those of you who would love that feature. That is next to the carbon roof as an option, the choice between manual and automatic gearboxes and all the other interior features we have seen from the new M3 and M4.

S58 up front producing around 440 hp and other than that a similar power train set up to the M3 and M4. If I have more info, I will share it here.

Incredible that the M240i will have the current M2 width. G87 will be quite a wide car then.

Really looking forward to this one. Cash purchase no PCP BS

All the above ingredients make for a worthy successor to the F87 IMO.

As long as they leave the beaver teeth on the countertop, we will have the ultimate M on our hands...until the CS/CSL comes along
