I’m three payments from turning in my C300. This probably won’t be around when I’m ready but I’ll be keeping my eye on it. GLWS!

No extended warranty, but it's not too late to purchase one from BMW! It has no issues, runs great, so probably doesn't need one.

Bump for another sick F8X build for sale. Not sure how this hasn't moved yet at this price.

My lovely M3 is now someone else's lovely M3. Just sold it for $52,500.

For the benefit of future buyers, and because I know several of you PM'd me and asked to let you know when it sold.....the funds just cleared, and it will be off to a new owner in the mid-west early next week.

Couple of observations:

--The market is full of M3/4s. Lots and lots and lots, many which were discounted $7,000 or even $10,000 off of their MSRP last Nov/Dec. So the used market is S O F T. In October the market might have been $59-61K. Now it seems to be $49-52ish. Not a surprise, I suppose.

--Order the Exec Package with every purchase from now on. It is REALLY important for re-selling a BMW. I got at least 35 inquiries about whether it had the Exec package (mainly because people seem to want parking sensors and the back up camera). This affected resale value and timing. I would have been better off with it on my car (which it was supposed to have, but my dumb dealer here in Oregon forgot to add it), and might have sold my car three months ago if I had the EP. Moral of the story, many buyers care more about parking sensors and heated rear seats than about a 6MT, frequent oil changes, or even San Marino blue.

--Order the Competition Package if you buy new. It wasn't available when I ordered in May, 2015. It is well worth the $5 k.

--Price it lower right off the bat. Otherwise it will sit. I see a bunch of M3s and M4s on this forum WAY above the current market. It's hard to bring yourself to bring the price down to the market, but that's the only way to get it sold.

--Am I acting like "Captain Obvious" with these miscellaneous ramblings?

--Finally, when the hell will BMW finally give us details about the M2 Competition? Oh, and have you seen that SMOKING lease deal BMW Finance is offering on M5s???? $1,189. Wow. They come in San Marino blue too! Interesting.....

Where did you see the M5 lease price? I searched with my ZIP and it was $1250 or so.

Congrats, Honestly I would of been ok without the comp pack on this car but the exec package comes with so much nice stuff that its hard to not want it.

I mean thats understandable, when I was looking no exec pack was a deal-breaker for me. Little things like camera, HUD and rear heated seats and steering wheel are well worth it for most.

Glad you sold it! Stunning car

Thank you for sending the wrap-up on the experience.

I'm working my way towards a factory order, and will 'package-up' per your advice...and it will have that 6-speed manual money-saving option as well.

Here it is!

I'd be tempted myself, but I've been so OCD with a $74K M3 that I can't imagine how OCD I'd be with a fabulous $114K M5.

Congrats bro. I been viewing this the entire time I've been looking (just purchased two weeks ago). If you weren't so damn far and it didn't have the roof I would have been all over this. Happy to hear you got it done! What's next?

Well, that's the fun part of getting rid of a car, isn't it - - - - you get to think about getting another one!

On the list for an M2 Competition, but my number might not come up until the fall, or maybe later. So maybe I'll pick up a used M2 in the meantime and add the full Dinan S2 power package while I wait.

Or, maybe since BMW appears to have hit a home run with the new M5, the 2020 M3 will be just as good, but more in my price range (although the M5 lease is tempting). European Delivery again would be fun.

Thought about a Quadrofoglio, but not sure about the reliability, so I don't want to purchase one and be stuck with an Italian car in 3 or 4 years that won't sell, and the lease rates are R I D I C U L O U S (like over $1,799). Which tells you that even Alfa doesn't have much faith in the reliability or resale values, so they don't want any of them coming back onto dealer lots in 2 or 3 years.

The new Mustang GT with the performance pack is awesome (I've driven one already!), but I can't see myself going back to Mustangs (in spite of my Bimmerpost handle, LOL).

So I'll probably go the M2 route for now. I've had 5 straight BMWs, so as long as they are getting back to building drivers cars (M2 and M5 both seem to be back in that direction), I'll probably stay in the "club."

But I'll take the opportunity to test drive a few different cars! Should be fun.

Sorry for highjacking your thread, but where have you heard that the M5 is leasing for $1,189? I'm in the auto industry and the first few that I saw being sold went for wayyyyy more then that. Like 5-600 dollars more.... I know that the market is high right now but I don't see it dropping down to $1,189. Never believe online advertisements, lol.

It's the official BMW lease deal.

It has gone up $100 bucks, but still a great deal.

https://www.bmwusa.com/special-offer...an.bmwsfl.html

It's good through today, so call BMW Finance asap!

No dealership is going to give that deal as of now as the demand is high and the quantity of cars out there is low. This is a national ad, dealerships do not have to honor it.
