Anyone familiar with Crest Auto Group in KCMO? They have an MG comp I was thinking about going for a test drive. It's been a couple years since I've driven an F80 and I have never driven a comp let alone sat in their seats and figured I'd check them out at Crest if they're cool

I took the car for a test drive yesterday. Pete was awesome to deal with and is an M enthusiast himself. Car's pretty solid, I'm happy the comp seats were comfortable to me. The car has lots of Dinan stuff on it, I think the exhaust is Dinan as well, pics attached. Didn't seem like the regular comp exhaust [IMG][/IMG]

That looks like my non-comp muffler, but I painted mine flat black

Hello all, I'm moving to the KC area in April and wanted to introduce myself. I will be in the area for a year, training for work, and would love any information on the best dealership to get services, track days, cars and coffee, Facebook groups, anything that an enthusiast would enjoy. I'm moving from Germany so I'm expecting my car to be there at the end of July. (2018 M3, BM3 stage 2). Hope to see you all soon.

Nice car! This section isn't very active but from what I've read there's a group on FB KCE9X that a lot of owners F80's included use for info on local meets/cars and coffee/etc. Just took delivery of my '18 back in Feb and just did the recommended service at the BMW dealership the car was purchased at. There's two BMW dealerships in the KC Metro - Baron and BMW KC South. I know other members have used Chicane Motorsports in Gardner, KS and they seem to have good service and positive reviews. Most likely will use them for crank hub fix if I decide to mod. The dealerships have mixed reviews so do your homework. Quick search online will show other independent shops. I've used Star Motors in Merriam, KS for both of our RR Sports and they were fair on pricing and specialize in European cars. Enjoy the area and if you find another shop you have a positive experience at let us know!

Was reading back through this thread and stumbled across this old post. I was interested in this car last May and lined up a PPI and scheduled a time a family member local to KC could check it out. Upon inspection, the car had more damage than Pete had disclosed in my conversation with him. They would not let my family member (40 yrs old, married with two kids) test drive the car and Pete was not around or reachable. The car had been on their lot for 150 days and he was unwilling to budge at all on the price. He just keep listing out all of the option prices on the car, which I was fully aware of, and that it had over $10k in Dinan accessories. In reality, the Dinan stuff was $4k. It was a pretty poor experience for me and I'm glad I walked away from that one.

Hi all - sorry to resurrect an old(er) thread. Does anyone have a preferred CA/SA in a dealership within driving distance of KC? We recently moved to the area and neither of the dealers we've bought from when we lived in other areas of the country operate dealerships near me. I'm looking at a potential build. Thanks all!
