Iam back
We’ll….Didn’t really think this was gonna happen so quick but after selling my M4 about a month ago I started shopping for a “cheaper alternative” fun car. After checking out several C 63‘s and also a few E 92’s I end up right back where I started.
For years I’ve been all about the DCT in my M cars …. This time I went with a 6mt and I gotta say I wish I would’ve made the move along time ago. This thing is such a blast to drive , not like my previous car wasn’t but holy crap! I am so in love again with the f8x platform it’s not even funny. Anyway here’s A quick parking lot pic of my new ride! |

I may be joining you in getting back into an F82.
I sold my M4 in 2020. Bought myself a Supra... and now im really considering going back to an M4. Only thing holding me back is the used car market. 2015's are going for the same price I basically bought mine for back in 2018. |

Yeah the market sucks for buyers but id keep your eye out because there are decent deals to be had out there if you are persistent. I paid 41k for this car. I feel like I got lucky? |

Is there a reason you sold your old car? Hopefully you made some money on the switch.

I felt it was the proper time to get out before things go back to " normal " where accidents really affect your cars value. Right now some places look the other way when it comes to a cars history because they feel like they can sell anything in this market. My plan was to find something cheep ish to hold me over until the market calms down a bit but I don't have a lot of patience soooo this orange car popped up and it was surprisingly less expensive than most ( 41k ) and it was a 6mt and very clean and loaded, it checked all the boxes for me. So no I didn't make money but big picture I am very happy to be back in a F82 and not have put out much money to do it. There's just nothing else out the that even comes close in the 40k price range and I can't wrap my head around paying 60-70k for a 2018 not enough difference between that and a 2015 to justify a 30k price bump. |

Love the color. For me it was that and Yas.
For a 2015, 41k, that’s still a crazy high price to me but I guess it also depends on mileage, options, etc. I’m looking for CS prices to drop, personally as I can’t see myself dropping over $100k on a new M3 X drive when I can get an X5M for a few thousand more. Welcome back! |

Thanks....my guess is CS's prices will remain strong and if you want one bad enough you will have to pay up regardless even if thats tomorrow or in 3 years. As far as 41k being crazy high for a 15 ...maybe it is but it was the least expensive M4 by a few thousand dollars within 500 miles of me that didn't have a rebuilt / branded title and it being a manual was a huge selling point for me. I think I did alright all things considered. |

Yeah this market is nutso. In the end, if you’re happy with the purchase and feel that what you paid is fair, that’s all that matters. Many people will say that they got a better deal blah blah but each person is different and each transaction is different.
This platform is one of the better ones at the moment with a good blend of technology and reliability. I could see what attracted you back. Overall, I think the F8X Gen is a great value compared to its competition. |

Congrats! I think I have your twin car down in Bonney Lake, I bought a '15 Sakhir/Sakhir from BMW Seattle last year and I LOVE it! I haven't been to any events in the area yet, but hoping to get out to some this year- hope to see you there!
