Active Sound Design no longer working

I realize some deliberately unplug the active sound but I am one of those that love the enhancement. I can’t wipe the smile off my face and giggle like a school girl when the car makes its sound at wot. To my dismay, the active sound is no longer active. I thought it might have something to do with running over some debris strewn all over the road. However, the dealership examined the undercarriage of the car and said it was unscathed. The tech who tested the car said it sounded fine. However, he said he wants to do a side by side comparison with another M4 before making a final verdict. I asked my SA what the tech did other than plug it in and check for error codes; SA said he wasn’t sure. For reference, this is a 2018 M4 coupe with DCT, 20k and my DD. I love this car. It’s not quite the the same though. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this fixable or too elusive to diagnose/fix?

It's hard to say without riding in your car.

Did the dealer update your software at any recent service visits? The newer software seriously turned down the active sound at lower rpms.
