ISO: Mod Friendly Dealers Philly/South Jersey Area
Have a service visit coming up for my M3 ZCP with 13k miles. Currently running intakes/DP/chargepipes with stage 2 bootmod3 software. A few recent threads have me worried about the dealer giving me a hard time and flagging me with these bolt-ons. From what I understand about this service, they shouldn't even be touching the ECU, but I guess anything is possible when they look under the hood. Obviously I understand the whole "pay to play" mantra and am going to go through all the necessary precautions including flashing back to stock and locking before taking it in. I guess my question is...anyone had good experiences with any particular dealers/service managers in the area as far as mods go?

I live closer to West German BMW (10 min drive) than I do to Thompson BMW and I'd still go to Thompson. From the recommendations here and based on your need for a "mod friendly" dealer, Thompson is the best choice in this area of PA.

I'm the Laura that was being referred to. At my dealership we have a specialized performance team that I head within the service and parts departments and we specialize in both modifying and maintaining modified Ms (and series cars of course). The only thing I request for modified cars that come in is to just let me know what all is on the car, the more I know the easier it is protect you, the car, and your warranty. If you want to chat more feel free to DM or email me laurazat1800thompson.com Last edited by ljzimm; 03-04-2019 at 02:54 PM.. Reason: tyyypppooo |

Just took my car in to BMW Mainline... I live in Philly.
I have had BM3 Stage 2 w/ DP's since 20,000 miles, and 3 services with them, including a warrantied Rear Diff.. and they have never said a thing. Got my car back yesterday after my 3rd and final free maintenance. Requested they use my high flow filters during the change over the OEM versions, and made mention not to touch my ECU - ALL WAS GOOD! Even got the OEM filters they were going to use for free... |

Not sure if anyone has heard, but apparently Laura no longer works at Thompson BMW in Doylestown. I reached out and was forwarded to someone by the name of Alex who now handles the "Thompson Performance Team" (I guess this is what they call their specialization in M vehicles?). Does anyone have any experience with him?

They still have the same team working on the M vehicles, just no longer Laura and Matt. |

Thanks for the info. Got in touch with Andi and I'll likely be heading up there for service here soon. I'm currently Stage 2 (see first post) now Cary Jordan tuned. Will follow up.
