Here is the one I just picked up, works pretty good. Locks into the cup holder really well and is pretty adjustable and it doesn't cover the buttons like the picture shows, they have two versions, the shorter version will work better to really stay out of the way but I wanted something that was very accessible. If you have DCT, you can rest your palm of the stick and have perfect finger placement on the screen, highly recommended when using Waze.

Ive got the belkin cupholder mount that does well but it does sit low so you have to look down and take your eyes off the road. I now have the mountek air snap. I like it much better as its in your line of sight. Its also very secure and sturdy. I put the metal adhesive on the inside of the phone case so you don't see it and it stick right on.

I also have a stick shift... Looks like the Belkin cupholder might interfere with that quite a bit... Anyone have experience with this?

I have the Belkin cupholder mount and a 6MT. No issues at all.

I just recently got the "Doc Artisan SPORT WALLET CASE V.5" for my iPhone 6s Plus, and figured I'd try their "Magmount" dock...and man am I impressed. The craftsmanship of the leather and functionality of the case together just made me fall in love. If you can't tell, it's a wallet style case like many others, but this one has the shell for the phone attached with a magnet to the "wallet" portion. This way you can pull it out and slap it on the Magmount or whatnot. The great thing I found about this position is that it sits at the PERFECT distance from the arm rest, so you can easily go from the scroll wheel to tapping the phone with a flick of the wrist.

The case is just super handy, as long as you don't wear skinny jeans and can fit it in your back pocket lol. I personally don't mind the bulk, and I always take it out of my pocket when sitting anyways, so it's a non-issue. Thoughts?

Would love a setup like this to use with my Jb4 app but .. Could never put anything like this in my car .. My girlfriend would think it's a free invite to go through my shit.. My phones in pocket(opposite leg furthest away from her) on silent wrapped in a ziplock bag

Can you describe how the Magmount attaches to the side of the console? Or post a couple of pics as well? Thanks.

It uses the nanosuction surface along with a lever like a normal suction cup. It sticks VERY well.

I tried the cupholder mount and the center vent mounts...not thrilled.

Cupholder - too low. I use Waze and the phone is too far from the windshield when driving in high traffic or cruising at speed.

Vent mount - large phones (iPhone 6+) get in the way and block too much cooling during the summer. I couldn't come up with a clean way to run power to the phone.

This is what I've been using for many months now and am happy. scosche magic mount. I ran electric power from trunk fuse box to underneath dash (above driver footwell) to a cigarette lighter and used a USB power thing for that. Wire runs along dashboard console and up to mount.

I can tap screen with left hand fingers while keeping both hands on the wheel. I can easily glance at Waze or incoming notifications without completely taking eyes off the road.

The panoramic view is a bit distorted...my steering wheel is actually a circle. :-)

Are you able to plug a charger cable in to the 6+ while its in the mount? I cant have the cable plugged in while the phone is in the mount in my M235i because the phone is so tall and it drives me nuts.

Oh. I'm planning to do it on the same spot as where the kuda mount goes, like earlier in the thread. I got the one with the small swivel base so I'll see if it provides good visibility of the phone. So I can ignore all those texts I get while driving
