Welcome screen startup M logo

When I start my car, 9 times out of 10 the screen goes straight to the warning screen and the assign driver screen.
A couple of times recently I got the M logo animation on the iDrive and also M3 logo on the HUD.

I searched the forum and couldn't find a definitive answer - does anyone know how to to get it to do this every time?

I'd say code out that warning screen on BimmerCode and assign the definite driver profile on the iDrive, it gives you the option to start on a set profile or choose when starting the vehicle in the options menu of the iDrive, I'm assuming in case you share w significant other or sumn, the profiles saves the seat setting and mirrors and other fun stuff.

Hope it helps

I tried walking up to car in morning getting in and starting right away and the m sequence works. I read where the longer you wait to press start once engaging the car, the more likely it will bypass or cycle through its sequence and end up at warning screen versus m startup. Something about it being due to the systems beginning to run as soon as u touch the door handle or interact with car in some other way.

Could be wrong but I think it's a standby thing that happens at a certain time.

As soon as you engage the car in anyway (unlock, open trunk, door etc) the car’s computer begins the start up process so when you actually turn on the car it boots up faster. The M welcome screen is directly connected to this boot up sequence thence only way to see it is to immediately get in the car and start it.
