I paid $59k in late spring 2020 for an ‘18 with 17k YMB/SS DCT comp that had a sticker of $84k originally. Came with a 4 year extended platinum level warranty.

Had PPF all over the front and sides. Super clean inside and out. Clean Carfax though had PDR on the RR panel.

Car was $57 w/out the warranty.

Felt fair when I compared prices over the previous 6 months then.

Can’t believe prices are the same a year later...

I am just showing the national minimum price for each one. The other differences are incidental unless you can find a cheaper one with the Competition Package?

I agree! Dealers are asking MSRP for 1-3 year old M2 Competitions. And Shift/Carvana/Vroom are offering to buy my wife's 320i for several thousand more than in 2018!

CPO alone is going to be $2,000 - $3,000. Newer model year also adds on. So saying ZCP is adding $6,500 is just incorrect. Of course a car that is a model year newer, with ZCP and CPO is going to cost a fair amount more.

I won't take both because 1st one has moonroof, 2nd one is pre-lci. I would rather find a 18 one with cf roof and led headlight

Hell no, dealers don't charge that much for the comp package even with new purchase

That's my point with the whole thread. 😂😛 ZCP cars are worth more in the used market than the option cost in the first place. Are they worth the higher premium the market is putting on them or is it better to buy a non-ZCP car and do some mods?

The used car market is crazy right now, at least in Ontario it is. Unfortunately I bought during these times and paid more than I should have but I found the right car with the right options. so I pulled the trigger. Waiting for some good weather to take some pics!

That's true but these two are real choices in my area that provide a real proxy for the market.

There are 36 M3s for sale on Autotrader across America right now that meet the following criteria: 2015-2018, <30K miles, 6MT, no accidents.

The cheapest base M3 is $49,180 for a 2017 with 22,249 miles. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=578053087
The cheapest M3 Comp is $55,888 for a 2017 with 18,468 miles. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=581091125

So at a national level if the Competition Package is all that matters to you the price of admission is about $6,500. More than the original MSRP of the option, so I think it's a valid question on whether it's still worth it in the used market.

I'd check cars.com. When I was looking there was a tremendous amount more cars on this site as opposed to autotrader.

Between your comparison OP? No way but that's also a very big price difference though.

I actually drove both a non-ZCP and ZCP car back to back and honestly I didn't feel like it was worth the extra money (plus I hate the shadowline trim, the lack of lumbar support in the seats and couldn't get the silver 19" wheels unless you went non-ZCP), so I ordered my F82 without it. I used the money for Individual which to me is a must have!

Vroom has my ideal car - a 2018 M3 in Tanzanite/Silverstone with 6MT, Competition, Executive Package, Driver Assistance Package, CF roof (no moonroof) and low miles. However Vroom has some pretty awful reviews online so I'm cautious about buying a car like an M3 from them.

Get them to have PPI done at a BMW dealer. You should still be under warranty to for at least another year too...

You have amazing taste...

2018 + Tanzanite + SS + 6 Spd + ZCP + Exec + Driver Assist + CF roof (although mine has 4K miles and some CF goodies).

That one likely still has warranty which would help me feel better buying from them particularly if you pay for a PPI at BMW. Hands down the Vroom one is the better deal of the ones you posted being the most desirable.

I was in the same boat last August I decided to take a chance with Vroom, I figured that if I didn't like the car the $500 loss in shipping was worth the chance. The care finally showed up in better condition than I expected(got lucky).

Now getting the car to me required many phone calls and emails and persistence. It was a major pain in the ass but at the end of the day I found the car I wanted, how I wanted it and cheaper then anything else I could find.

In a nutshell I am not endorsing Vroom but at the end of it all I have my car sitting a few feet away in my garage, but be prepared to put in some time and work.

Hi All,

I was in the market for 2020 M4 and came across a seller who sent me the window sticker.
It is mentioned in the sticker that it has a competition package but the sub list shoowed that it had 19" M wheel 437M. Is this normal I thought comp package has the 20" ones only?

You could option the 19s with the comp pack. Some people would have preferred the smaller wheels.

No offense but for me sunroof = hard pass. CF roof is an iconic element of the car.

I agree, if you need a sunroof get the X3M with that awesome panoramic sunroof deal.

Or of course, an M4 vert!

My 2c for having both a non-comp M4 and a Comp M3 now - I much prefer the competition and think it's worth every penny!
