18x11 ET40 will clear up to 305 rear. 18x11 ET43-44 should clear 315 easily...

Is there anyway someone can take measurements on CCB to give you the information to extrapolate whether these will will fit? I live in Alabama but would be on the sign up. I would assume the rears will clear. The fronts are the concern.

I seriously doubt any 18" wheel will fit the CCBs

This would be a track oriented offset that would allow meaty tires to clear the fender properly. Our goal when by the time we're done is to pick the ideal offsets needed to produce both an 18x11" and 18x10.5" option.

To conduct this test, we will use a custom, ultra high-offset, 18x11" wheel. Combined with spacers, we can simulate all the necessary new offsets.

We will be testing the wheel with the following 3 tires:

295/35/18 Rival
305/35/18 R888
315/30/18 R888

We'd need a car for at least 5 hours at our facility to properly test, measure, and document everything. You can hangout with us, or use our lobby and office space to conduct your work.

If you're willing to bring your car out to our R&D center and studio in Livermore CA 94550, please contact us at testfitments@apexraceparts.com

Your participation will allow us to share our finds with the community.

Thank you,

-Eddy Pintacsi

how did testing go with the 315....what offset is needed et43?

We had Robert bring his car back again yesterday for another half day of testing. There was more data to be collected. I've been working on a large write-up. James is sorting and editing photos. We should have a tech article next week that will be an invaluable reference thread for wide fitments.

We still need a volunteer with CCB's so we can take measurements and confirm if our 19" wheels need modification or not to clear the front kit.

Sorry for not answering your question directly in my previous post. I was alluding to posting details like that in my write-up, which is coming soon. We're still learning the answers to those questions ourselves. This thread was just a request for volunteers. Behind the scenes, there's other research to be done for engineering/production. I'm trying to avoid turning this thread into multiple pages of discussion as the thread will eventually create confusion in the future. It would all be better in the right place.

The only answer we can provide in this thread is Q1.

Thanks for your understanding. I absolutely understand why you'd like to know.

Could you make please make comparison for us too between standard oem setup and test fitment as to MDM intervention as this proposed test setup with have larger difference front to rear diameter than stock.

When you post that white paper with your findings, would you mind putting a link in this post? I've been eagerly awaiting this wheel and don't want to miss out on the information.

Much obliged.

We did this test when the cars first came out. 17's do not clear. Our 17" wheels have a huge barrel and fit over some 6 piston 355mm BBK's, but they could not clear the stock M3/M4 brakes. They're huge!

The article is taking a while as we outlined every brand/model/size tire combo that can be run on the car, outlining pros/cons of each fitment. This includes OD diameter changes.

Will do. I'm trying to find the time to complete the article, as there are a fair number of photos that need editing still. A lot is happening with our engineers and the factory at the same time, so no time is being lost while you guys wait on me

17" wheels don't clear the two piston calipers on the rear of the M3/4?

Nope. We were hoping to offer a 17x11 for drag. Barrel hits the caliper, and there's no way to engineer a wider barrel.

It's a big car with big factory brakes.
