I'm mainly concerned how the top strap on the seat will work with the fixed headrests in the back seats.

Probably goes over the headrest leaving a nice dent in the leather.

The whole kids and coupe thing is so overblown. I had my E92 when my kids were 1 and 3 and not once did feel like it was a big deal. I'm sure all the crazy moms at daycare thought I was an idiot, but really... no problem at all.

Wow, I can't believe this many people of this type exist? Reminds me of the guy who wanted to put a hitch on his F8X. This stuff really happens in real life. It's really an eye opener to the types of people that are out there.

I hate to draw conclusions from one blurry pic, but that seat looks very loose. The seat cushions aren't indented at all. How much dos it move when you shake on it? Hoping I am dead wrong.

Comparing putting a hitch on a car to having car seat for your child make you look like the iggnorant idiot. Cant believe people like you exist.

I have done it in an F30 328 loaner, one sunshine kids and one combo coccoro, and my wife was able to fit in the middle.

I would not want to be a 6 foot tall guy in that middle seat, but most non tubby women should fit just fine.

One thing I do notice is that these don't appear to clip in. Probably not a problem at all if you don't have them sitting back there regularly without the kids in them. If you do, though, you might get tired of them flying around the back seat. In the event that happens, I highly recommend the Clek Ozzi (or Olli if you want more colors and the quick release pull strap in the front) boosters. They charge a premium, but they have the big advantage of clipping onto the LATCH anchors so they won't move. I love mine.

The abrasiveness and passive aggression aren't doing much for the forum, FYI. Can you tone it down, please?

The M3 and M4 can do anything the 3 and 4 Series can. Why avoid using the full utility of a vehicle just because it is marketed as a performance car first? These cars are designed to perform a wide range of functions and fill many roles. If you just want to focus of the car's performance abilities and attributes, simply avoid threads that discuss all the other great things it can do.

Also to add to that if these cars where not designed to have car seats in them. Why did BMW put seat harness mounts in the back seat?

People like what? with kids?

Geez man, at least we still care what we drive. What am I supposed to do? Just roll over and start driving a minivan because my virility is uncontainable?

Well, when I'm cruising by myself and a hot chick is standing on the corner, all I have to do is slam on the brakes, and the child seats automatically disappear into the backseat footwell. No kid seats to cramp my style.

Seriously though, these seats are nice because the bases are rounded and they don't put dents in the leather. Simple, cheap, the kids like them and they look good to me.

I've owned about 5 Recaro child seats, and paying $20 for a seat felt good.

Anyone figure out a way to protect the headrests from the top tether straps???

I am worried about the tension from the straps leaving an indentation on the leather...

Since it's real leather, it will make an impression, which will slowly go away after a long while.

It will be fine, no permanent damage.

I have had top tether on my E39 M5, B7 S4 Avant, E90 M3, CTSV wagon, E46 M3, etc.

It will be fine.
