I went with black myself but I would have gone 18's over the silver 19's. In the end there is no "wrong" choice here. All three stock options are fantastic. Black does require more of a commitment to upkeep although I've read switching to ceramic pads help the brake dust. I may give that a try but I'm cheap and the fact that pads are still covered under maintenance for 2016 models has me thinking I'll just live with it until that runs out. |

I put black chrome Forgestar F14s on mine. I also blacked out the grills, side gills & M3 badge & put on a black CA license plate. Black goes well with SO.

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but the stock wheels may not be a bad choice to begin with... BMW takes every step to carefully designing everything component including the wheel packages, and the stock 18" are no exception. If you're pressed on time, it may not be worth jumping the gun on the extra $1200+tax immediately, you could always pick them up a year later after you see/own the car and really get a sense for what you like. Additional plus, the 18" feel much better/comfortable and are less expensive tires when you feel the need to punch the pedal. Also, there are people here on the forum who you can pick up a used set of the 19"s from since they're looking to move onto the latest wheel trends for the f80.
Good luck!!! The only way you can go wrong is if you don't like your 19" color selection in the end ... Duh Last edited by schrdngrsct; 08-12-2016 at 01:43 AM.. |

Hey! This all may sound nice and be so, but there is one caveat, not taken into consideration here - * The 19"'s MSRP at +$1,200.00, with the car - at time of purchase! There are no decent aftermarket wheels to be had at this price point. And, if you want to get the same BMW (437's) wheels later, they will be (+-) $3,000.00. Cheers! Oh yea absolutely - I agree. But that $1200 in price is really somewhere between $2000 and $3000 even still (like you were saying), since you forfeit/subsidize with the stock 18"s (MSRP ~$1500/set w/o tires)... Granted I'm not sure of the demand for the stock wheels but I'm sure there's some poor soul out there who curbed theirs and wants to buy those off. |

I chose Silver. Makes the wheel look "bigger" in the lighter color. The Black 437Ms just always look dirty to me. |
