Best route from Munich to Budapest

Picking up my new M3 in October and driving to Budapest, Prague, Berlin and dropping off in Amsterdam. Don't want to just drive on the Autobahn as I have read that for a good break in you need different revs under load. Any suggestions for a route on the first leg to Budapest.

Autobahn is fine, just shift around every 20 min or so - the ED people will tell you all about break-in steps and even set up your trip on the GPS. The biggest thing to worry about is secure overnight parking, especially outside of Germany & Switzerland

thanks. Thinking of changing plans and going to Salzburg as opposed to Budapest. The whole trip will be Salzburg, Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam. The trip to Budapest is a little long and would have to double back part way to get to Prague. There is a good road from Munich to Prague through the German Alps. Re security, thanks for the update. Will book hotels with good parking.
