The production mistakes were all related to my order - they forgot this, or when it moved from this status to that status part of the config was changed (I figured out!), or they can't make the date, blah blah blah.

You have to check VIN, config, date over and over and over. And when I say config I mean the whole build sheet. @Dr. Who looks like he has his shit down, so I'd ask him for the latest and greatest info on what those sheets are and how to check.

As to the #, yup that's the 800 number (they didn't call it genius or whateverthefuck 18 months ago) I even have/had it programmed for speed dial to check my status. Not sure if this still works but it was

18008311117,2,,,[last 7 of vin],1

So I'd call that every few hours - I had my calls matched to German time, so can't remember the hours but I got to know the time of day the status would update. So every day I'd speed dial 3 times and every few weeks I'd dial through to 3 reps and ask the same generic questions, "it was recommended that I call you to check my config as there may have been a mistake, my vin is blahblah. uh huh. uh huh. and what's the delivery date?"

Assume nothing, check everything, trust nobody.

Genius has more up to date info than that automated 800 number. The tracking guide at the top of this forum covers that.

Yes but the automated number gives you the "event" to dig in to. Check the automated number daily, call every 2-3 weeks OR after a status change, especially 111 and 112. For individual this is key because they ALWAYS fuck it up, at least they have for me: 2 for 2. This last one was a real shit show.

The tracking guide is the basic course, this is the masters class.
