Just by looking at the pictures I can see that it's typical Benz and that doesn't go with me. Maybe I got Benz fobia or something but I never felt comfortable in one, everything is awkward and clunky to operate and frankly I always feel like I don't want to be seen in one which I guess is a clash of images, imaginary or real. No thanks. MMM ( More M for Me ).

I feel like I need to dress a certain way to own a MB. Almost like it is stuffy inside and makes me want to sit upright. I feel perfectly at ease with the design of my car.

You'll forget all the stereotypes once you have fun with an AMG... it's all good.
Plus, AMG really makes an effort to see that each buyer has a personal experience with the brand. You can take a private AMG factory tour in Affalterbach where they hand-assemble the engines. And, AMG has given away free tickets to the LA Auto show preview night the last several years. (free drinks, food and no crowds!) They also do other organized track events and F1 "experiences." They run a "private lounge" website for owners only, with a monthly chat session that allows you to communicate directly with AMG's USA crew. I've been very happy with my 2008 C63 and plan on keeping it. I'm now a believer. The new M3/M4 looks very nice though. And I still love my 135i. If you are shopping at this level, it's all pretty good.

In what sense?
With respect to driving dynamics, the steering feel on the '12+ C63s is incredible. Perfect weight (and it's consistent), very communicate. The car is amazingly neutral. It's no secret that the C63 has more power and more torque than the E9X M3. People forget that the M156 revs beyond 7000 rpm. In addition to having lots of grunt down low, the motor really comes alive at 5500 (especially with a tune). The MCT transmission (redundant, I know) is pretty darn good. Very, very smooth in Comfort. The DCT is quicker; hard to beat it. The M3 is the lighter car and on tight, technical tracks with lots of tricky corners and hairpins, the M3 likely has a bit of advantage. On fast tracks with curving, uphill and downhill sweepers, give me the C63. You can't go wrong with either car. Both cars are dynamic daily drivers that can report for track duty as well.

Well, the board of director voted to change your member name other than Giorgio Armani.

I'm not sure about having a V8 as a daily driver.
Only way I will do it is will have my 335xi as a winter beater and either have the M4 as my summer car. I've test drove the C63 and S5.

I used to feel the same way in the days of lousy auto boxes and all...but now the ultra quick flip of a paddle and upshift downshift burps and farts are just as sexually healing to me.
On another note. The m3 has always been about function and form from enginge to suspension to design. But this last one one looks very toy racer. Both benz and bmw have their sterotypical owners personalities but the m3 m4 really pushes the envelope with regard to look at me status. imo they could have left the improvements at the front bumper 86ed the hood bulge and left the rear diffuser slash bumper more discreet. just this douschnozzles opinion tho |

Anyway, I am not sure AMG or Audi RS have ever been about "hey, don't look at me". I think they bulk of buyers of these cars like people to notice they are in an elite product. |
