That's correct. I just did not want to post an Amazon link. Did not know.

Had this issue come up around 100k miles ... was a reason to do everything at once, new valve cover, crank hub, belts, oil filter gasket, (plugs and ignition coils if needed, TMI and a few other things. Same day job.

No, turns out the “warranty company” was a complete scam and they didn’t ever cover shit lmao

Car is at 87k and is on it's 3rd valve cover.

PCV went bad couple weeks ago with the classic squealing noise that makes you want to curl up into a ball and die.

My indy was able to have it done in roughly 7 hours but I did let them know I would be coming in for it.

Ended up getting the last cover from FCP since this will probably not be the last one before I sell the vehicle

Dang that's a lot of valve covers for 87K miles. Do you have a lot of mileage in a day or drive in stop and go a lot?

Yea I'm primarily city driving and when I am on the highways I'm in Houston so its tip to ass bumper to bumper traffic anyways.

Not a lot of daily mileage but a lot of slow stop and go. Most of the mileage was trips between Houston and Dallas

Jeeze that is unlucky. I am hoping to be the lucky ones of 100k before hearing the dreaded tea kettle. Good idea going for FCP Euro. Im planning on keeping for a very long time so started always buying parts from there.

Yea kinda unlucky. Seems most people get more miles out of the valve cover so I might just be the odd one out.

Also on fuel pump number 3 but that’s a whole other story lol.
