Steering wheel rattling noise on BMW 118d (2017, F20)

Hi everyone,
I drive a BMW 118d (2017, F20) and I’ve started noticing a rattling noise coming from the steering wheel itself. What’s strange is that it gets worse when the car has been sitting in the sun or when the weather is warm, but it becomes less noticeable when it’s cooler outside (although it’s still there).

The sound seems to come directly from the steering wheel/steering movement – not from outside or the dashboard area. It feels like it’s inside the wheel itself.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be related to the airbag module, trim, or the adjustment mechanism? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips before taking it to a workshop.
Thanks in advance!
