Handling of the New X3 vs the G-45 previous?

As a fan of the knobs and interior of the outgoing X3, I have driven both recently. I really want to prefer the outgoing model for the interior, opening sunroof, and less plastic. BUT, when renting both cars, there was something I noticed on the outgoing G45 that I wanted to ask you, as new owners of the latest version. Some of you have had both.

1) Outgoing model seems a bit more twitchy or SUV feeling at high speeds on the highway (Sensitve steering, or slightly less stable). The new X3 seems more planted. Compared non-M sport models. True?

2) Gas mileage seemed better on the highway with the new model, even though it was quicker. I know it has a mild hybrid compared to the outgoing 4-cylinder engine. MH does not help on the motorway. Is the new one lighter or has a lower drag coefficient?

3) Thoughts on handling and MPG above

4) Wind or road noise seemed more on the outgoing model

I definitely prefer the knobs and interior on the outgoing model, less plastic and a more premium feel. BUT, the outgoing model is starting to look dated. I currently own a G30 2023 5 series that is more premium than both of these cars above. The interior is perfect and there seemed to be less wind noise.
