Alcon or Brembo?

Hi guys, what are your thoughts in terms of performance when choosing between Alcon vs Brembo?

I was looking at the Brembo GT BBK, but a couple of friends are telling me that Alcon is actually better performance wise and Brembo is just a bigger brand.

Any suggestions?

Why not consider Essex AP? I own them and they are great so far.
