We've got an epoxy floor with a drain so I just dump a bucket of hot water all over it and squeegee the floor to clean it.
What is everyone's experience with dirt and grime? I love the look but have this same concern. I live in Seattle, so rain water and pine needles are always on my garage floor.

I have Racedeck and like it so far. It's solid so nothing spills in between.

I've had the Racedeck Free Flow tiles in my garage going on 2 years now and living in Michigan we have plenty of snow and salt to deal with in the garage. Come spring time, I just use a mop to clean the tiles and don't even bother with what is underneath since you hardly see the concrete underneath the tiles. Very happy with the product and highly recommend it.

Unfortunately my car doesn't quite match the tiles

I like the look of swisstrax, but have some of the same concerns as others in that road salt and crud will fall through and sit on the bare concrete. Road salt isn't great for concrete, especially newer concrete.

Ive noticed polyurea coatings have gained some traction in the residential market recently. They outperform most epoxies and I believe are one part (no mixing), although are more expensive. Still less expensive than swisstrax though.

I guess you could put a plastic tarp under the Swiss track before laying it down.

True, that could work. I guess if budget doesn't matter you could do both a epoxy type coating and swisstrax. For the size of my garage a DIY polyurea kit is roughly half the cost of swisstrax, and for me the value makes sense since I will install it myself... the coating is definitely more of an involved install, so need to factor the time/PIA factor into each situation.

For salt I'd definitely coat it then do Swisstrax. Expensive yes, but that would be the ultimate floor. I cannot remember off hand how thick Swisstrax is? but Matt from OG said once a month he simply runs a shop vac over the floor and it picks up dirt and sand.

What's the benefit of putting swisstrax over an Epoxy coated floor? It seems a bit overkill to me, similar to my thoughts on adding a ceramic coating on top of PPF?
