Newly Acquired F80 M3 CS

I guess I really can't say that it's newly acquired. Have had it for almost a year now. But of course it's sitting in the garage tucked away waiting for the snow, salt, and rocks to be cleared up. Original owner did not want an Alpine White M3. But with the dealer not having any other M3's on the lot, they ended purchasing it and wrapping instantly after they purchased. Let me know what ya'll think of the wrap. It is wrapped in a Matte Charcoal Metallic 3M. For being in the car industry for more than 20 years, this is the best wrap installation I've seen personally by far. And with the wrap being almost 6 years old, I'm contemplating if I should re-wrap with the same wrap or bring it back to it's original color/form.

Congrats on the CS! I've never been a fan of wraps but that one looks pretty good. I would probably still remove it especially if it's old.

Congrats! That is a really good wrap install. Door jambs and all. It’s a shame that AW beauty is covered up, but I’m sure the wrap looks really good in person.

PS. I remember seeing this wrapped CS when I was looking for all the CS’s.

Thanks, been wanting an F80 since they were released. But never thought I would actually own a CS. I commend the wifey for finding it!!

I did find a video of the original company that did the wrap. They removed all 4 doors, moldings, front & rear bumpers, and of course headlights & taillights.

Before picking up the car from Kelowna BMW (which is a 6 hour drive from home, Calgary) I was sure I would be getting the car, driving it home and then removing the wrap (only seeing it in pictures and a video from the salesman). But when we got to the dealership just after breakfast. The car was parked out front, sun was shining. And in person, the color of the wrap actually caught my eye. Almost every person that has been in contact with this car has complimented it's color and thought it was a factory finish.

I will post the links to original wrap installation.

Thanks, yeah I was actually impressed with the wrap when we picked up the car. Still undecided if I will keep the wrap or go to the original Alpine White.

Excellent wrap job! It does almost look like it came from the factory that way.

I’d remove the wrap and PPF the AW. I have an e92 M3 in AW/Fox Red and it still looks good to me every time I look at it even after 14+ years of ownership. You’ll immediately understand why BMW still uses AW after so many decades and on all models.

Yeah, I'm still on the fence on whether or not to keep the wrap or expose it's original AW.

Here is video of my baseline dyno pulls which we did in the fall of last year before tucking it away for the winter. My brother and I were both low on guessing what type of numbers it would put down. Definitely surprised us both!! And definitely made me all gitty inside after the fact!!!

Yezzir! Bone stock!! My brother was thinking 415-425whp & 440ish ft/lbs tq. I called him low and said it would make 430-440whp & 450ft/lbs tq. But after doing 3 back to back runs we were both like . But I was really dancing around like a little school girl hahaha

Fantastic car. Congrats! The wrap is indeed meticulously applied.

PS. What other vehicle helps you during the Calgary winter?

Thank you!

My slammed 2016 F-150 Ecoboost on 24" DUBS is my daily driver/winter vehicle. 4x4 works no problem when needed!

Here it is in it's summer stance.
