But Dynojet reads pretty high compared to Mustang for example
Curious of what the overall gains were.
Great work on keeping us posted on the Bootmod stuff. Deff a great product
This particular car wasn't baselined due to already having E85 in the tank. However, there are many instances were I/we have been able to get a baseline and the delta, in some instances, were in excess of 180whp. Type of dyno doesn't matter as much when we're talking about delta (which is what really matters), so keep that in mind.

Yup. I'm only interested in the delta #'s
Dyno brands don't matter to me

Is there a high altitude E85 map that has been worked out yet? I'm at 5280.

Does any of this e85 tuning help towards tuning e85 on the n55?

Impressive numbers.

Is there any downsides to running E85 on the car long term wise?

This is awesome. I definitely plan to go with Bootmod if I pick up another f80. Great stuff!

I've done multiple high elevation E85 tunes. I've got a customer running at around 6kMSL on straight E85 AND Pure Stage 2 turbos.

The N55 has 1 HPFP as opposed to the S55, which has two. However, I'm working on applying some of what I've learned from the S55, with regards to the fuel tuning for E85, to the N55 as we speak. In the meantime, I can do custom tunes for the N55 PWG and EWG.

None really. The only preventative maintanence that really needs to be performed is running a tank of pump gas through the system every 3-5k miles or so, then switch back to straight E85.

There was another member that saw 580hp and 560tq with dp's, intake, and exhaust on a custom map with 100% E85. He posted it on the Facebook group.

mind boggling how you're able to do this on the stock fuel system. and to think that the LPFPs weren't able to cope the entire time. well done.

480 WHP?? I believe it brake hp. 480 WHP means the US cars are strong than EU cars. Unless you are running dry ice and jet fuel.

Sorry man, I am in disbelief.

"Custom-tune" ok, so how did the EGTs read and has there been enough time to gather long term fuel trims? Is this sustainable power that is marketable?

Nice leap of power at 5k.
104 octane is a beautiful thing.
what vendor is being used for the juice?

Lool you can see the power falling at 6100rmp due the turbos, with PS2 and 91 octane you make that power to the red line

Uhhhhh... I want in. I just want a mild power bump and an extremely conservative tune since the car is a dd and has to be subjected to shit 91 octane. What numbers can I expect? Thanks!

Our dyno reads a little low. We also did another one the following week that did 59x/64x (Wheel horsepower/Wheel Torque). I'll attach a pic from my cell phone when I find it.

On average, 460/500. (on the conservative side of results) I've seen upwards of 480/540 on stage 1 though.

We do have a lot of gas stations that offer it, but that would require me to plan out my trips a lot more haha. Solid numbers and amazing tune from what I can see! Making me want to make the switch to BM3 very soon...

JD
The advantages of E85 far outweigh the disadvantages of having to plan a trip to the station that carries it. 93 doesn't even come close to comparing.
Can the stock tune take any advantage of any e85? No JB until breakin here

LOL! A good majority of us don't have the means to do a flywheel dyno, so it's pretty much safe to assume that all dyno ratings are measured in WHP.

BMW has been known to provide power output measurements similar to the numbers you get out of a wheel based dyno. However, they never claim it as such, so people just assume that 448hp is at the flywheel. It does make for a very satisfying moment when the owner sees that their car dyno'd close to the advertised power output except in WHP.
